Is this show mainly for girls?

I've heard good things but I've always just seen it as a show
targeting girls e.g. The Vampire Diaries, Buffy (although I
secretly enjoy this show haha).

My 57-year-old dad loves it and actually got me into it.
But yeah I think it does appeal mostly to women.

Actually, I am a guy and I love it.
Funny thing is last night was one of the first episodes that did
not have any shirtless scenes.

I never really saw this show as a woman's show. I mean it has so
many different chartacters and plot elements that I feel like
there's something appealing for everyone. Yeah there's shirtless
guys but there's plenty of shirtless women, and sex scenes and
gore abound. It's not really demographic specific.

I think what Kris said is right on the button! It has a bit for
anybody. Gender really shouldn't matter for this show. As long
as you don't mind seeing a man's ass at times, along with
womens' asses and breasts, you could really enjoy it. In fact,
I know people who don't even like most fantasy shows/movies, but
really enjoy this. They keep it very grounded in reality.

How the hell is Buffy a girl's show? I know just as many male
fans, don't be embarrassed.
