Sooo... Did you Skip?

When you got DH for the first time, opening it with shaking
fingers, did you open to chapter one.... or the last page of the
book?
I didn't skip. Instead, I handed the book to my dad, asked him
to open it up, and asked if the last word was 'scar', like it
was supposed to be. When he said no, well, that was just more
fuel to finish the book that day. :D

No way! I sat down in the big chair downstairs and my Mom made
me a pot of coffee that I only took one sip of... Haha, I
couldn't even put the book down long enough to drink anything! I
got mad every time I had to use the restroom! I would never have
been able to spoil the end of the last Harry Potter book ever, I
think I would always regret doing it and wonder how I would have
felt not knowing till the end

Yep, I did. Well, actually, my mom was a b'tch and started to
read the epilogue aloud while I was upstairs and spoiled it for
me, but I was going to flip right to the back anyway. Just to
see if Harry, Ron or Hermione died.

Absolutely not. I'm insanely spoiler sensitive. And whenever I
got a new HP book, I would take my time reading it. I figured it
was only new once so I wanted to savor it, reread passages, mull
something over, work out personal theories, etc. I had friends
who would make their goal to read the whole thing in 24 hours. I
couldn't even comprehend that.
And with the last book, I took extra long because I was coming
back from Europe and having to pack and whatnot meant I was
really behind when I got home. All my friends had read it and I
actually had to leave a party so I wouldn't be spoiled.

No, I didn't. I knew how disappointed and pissed I'd be at
myself if I spoiled myself. I read it cover to cover without
skipping ahead.

I didn't. But I had almost all the deaths spoiled for me in
Deathly Hallows but I didn't care.

I had Dumbledore's death spoiled for me before Half Blood
Prince, and I did my best to avoid spoilers with Deathly
Hallows. So I didn't skip ahead.

God no! I wanted reading DH to be a true experience, and it
was! I wasn't even on the board for a few days leading up to
the book!
