       I finished Season 2

       ---------------------------------------------------------
I really enjoyed this season a lot more than the first one.
I found all three separate plots (Fellowship of the Sun, Dallas
Vampires and Mary-Ann) to be equally interesting and
entertaining, although it took me a while to warm to the
Fellowship one, even though I knew it was clearly playing the
goodness of it up for the inevitable reveal of their 'darker
       intentions'.
I don't know if a lot of people hated Mary-Ann but I thought
(for the first few episodes at least) she was really interesting
and an awesome 'crazy b'tch' character, her character kind of
ran out of steam by the end of the season though so her death
wasn't as impactful as I hoped it would be.
I'm sick of Sookie and Bill already, I think both of them are
100x more interesting when they are not together and are doing
their own things, but even then Sookie annoys me a lot. That
said, she does have her moments, but she's just very
inconsistent and I can never tell whether she's going to do
something useful and badass, or just be a typical blonde girl
who needs saving or makes stupid decisions. I am kind of
intrigued with her apparent powers though, and will be
interested to see how they develop.
I think they chose the wrong person for Godric, I just couldn't
believe he was meant to be the oldest and most powerful vampire
when he looked like that, although he had a really incredible
       final scene.
I am looking forward to next season, and I'm really starting to
like this show, despite all it's faults. It's constantly
entertaining and I find the world easy to get immersed in,
although that may be just because I'm watching it alone on my
laptop with my headphones in lol.

I HATED Maryann. Ugh... I just.. ugh.
It's mostly because they built the maenads up more than they
actually are. No way is she Gaia or Isis or Lilith. But I just
prefer to blame that on Daphne being a crazy fan girl.
But I did like the storyline, mostly.
That's the whole point of Godric though. He's supposed to be a
       teenager and look really unassuming.
My fave part of that season was Jason and the Fellowship of the
       Sun. I love that boy.

Season 2 is my favorite overall. Season 3 has a great villain
but it felt just too uneven for me.
And I think that's kind of the point about vampires: You can't
tell just by looking at one how old or how powerful they are. I
thought Godric was pretty awesome and wish they'd kept him
       around longer.

The Maryann story dragged way too much so I was glad she was
dead and gone by the end of it. The end of season 2 and
beginning of season 3 is where I start my love/hate relationship
with Tara. She didn't know Eggs long enough (seriously, like 2-3
weeks?) to warrant how damaged she gets from it.
Season 3 beings you Franklin and Russell, who are both just
       awesome. I love them.
I also seem to be the only woman on the planet who'd choose
       Bill over Eric. Ahh well.

I'd choose Season 4 Bill over Eric. Yeah, I said it.

Yeah I didn't know anything about Maenads so I went with most of
what she said (I had heard about Dionysis though in my
Literature class - damn William Blake) but I took how she called
her Gaia, Isis and Lilith as just her overemphasising her
       godliness as you say.
I did get the point of why Godric was young, I just think it
would have worked better if they actually made him seem, I
dunno, just more powerful and intimidating looking or something.
Also, why does every hot waitress have to get killed off :-\
And Sookie's not really hot enough to warrant all the attention
she gets from everyone, she's attractive sure, but she's nothing
       that special.
