I like that they didn't use polyjuice potion in the movie for
this scene.
But when Hermione gets all nervous about being spotted, it
really bothers me that they don't even discuss the invisibility
cloak.
It generally kind of annoys me how the invisibility cloak is
such a transparent plot device (pun intended). And I get that it
doesn't film well. I really do. But it bothers me more that they
don't even really bring it up in the last two films. Like after
the polyjuice potion wears off in the Ministry and they're left
completely vulnerable in the atrium. I was like, "DUDE! YOU OWN
AN INVISIBILITY CLOAK!" I love that scene, and I wouldn't change
it. But its just something that I can't help but roll my eyes
at.

Yeah, the invisibility cloak was practically ignored in both
parts. They didn't even mention it was a deathly hallow.

[/quote]Maybe since I only saw it just once, or the fact that I
have a poor memory (even though I first watched it today), I
don't remember it.

[/quote]Ollivander did say that one of the Hallows was an
invisibility cloak when he was telling Harry what they were at
Shell Cottage.
[sub][sup]Its weird that I remember that one, but not that the
other.[/sup][/sub]

When Xenophilius mentioned the Invisibility Cloak, Hermione
looks at Ron, as if to say "Could Harry's cloak be a Hallow?!" I
always saw it like that anyway. A nod to the readers perhaps.

Yeah, the readers knew what that look meant. Casual viewers, not
so much. And while they mentioned the cloak and that a hollow
was a cloak, they never explicitly said that Harry's cloak was
THE cloak from the story. Or that Harry had all three hallows
when he walked into the forest to meet Voldemort.
