Neville and Luna

So, are Neville and Luna canon now? Or did they break up after
the battle and that's when Rolf and Hannah Abbot come into play?
If so, where did it all go wrong? Did Luna leave the spade in
the hallway one time too many? Did Neville get caught scoffing
at Luna's new Nargle article? Hmmmm.... So many possibilities.
And what about the children?

JKR must have finally warmed to the paring, otherwise I don't
think such a blatant line would have made it into the film
(sure, the filmmakers may tease Harry/Hermione, but it was never
spelled out explicitly).

I personally wouldn't consider it canon since it's not the
official story we got from Jo herself (ie Neville marrying
Hannah, Luna marrying Rolf Scamander). Although I did root for
Neville/Luna in the books, I think I was more satisfied with the
fact that Luna and Neville did not get together because then it
would of felt too unrealistic.
But I'm fine with Neville/Luna in the movies.

I liked Neville/Luna in the books until the end of DH. I then
switched to Dean/Luna.

Same here, although not the end of DH. It was when they were at
Shell Cottage and Harry kept seeing them together and I started
thinking, "they would be really cute!"

I never liked Neville/Luna but I did like what they did in the
films. I loved Dean/Luna after DH, too bad JKR didn't let it
happen. :'(

They might have gotten together in the books. Just somewhere
between after the battle and 19 years later, they broke up and
married Hannah and Rolf. ;D

Not hugely invested in the ship, but they would be cute
together.
I don't mind that they married other people in the books, but if
the movies were going to put them together, they should have
done more with it.

I didn't even really think about them as a pairing until
Neville's little line in DH:2. And then I thought "hey, that
would have been cute." Only downside is that they obviously just
threw that in at the last minute because there was
nothing[i][/i] in the other films to suggest that pairing.
Really nothing to suggest that pairing after that line as well.
I mean, did he even tell her? I just can't read what their
expressions meant when she sat down beside him.
As far as Luna goes, I kind of shipped her with Harry, just in
the OotP movie, although I knew they weren't going there. I just
thought Dan and Evanna had some cute chemistry. Book-wise, I
liked Luna with Dean. I really thought that was the path Rowling
was going to take after she had it a point to mention that Luna
was always holding Dean's hand at Shell Cottage.
