Right, so I know there are a bunch of budding photographers on
the internet, so here's a thread for the ones on here to post
some pretteh pickchas. These were all taken by me.

I don't have any of my photos on my laptop to thumbnail, but
       here is my DeviantArt page:

<-- This one seems to be the most popular (among people who've
seen it in real life). I've won a few awards with this piece,
       including a $600 scholarship.

       Photography story:
I went to see Paul McCartney in Chicago last month. I brought my
DSLR camera. I was a mile away from the stage, (I don't have a
fancy lense, just the one that came with the camera) and I knew
I wasn't going to get decent pictures. But I figured I could
take some of me and my mom before the show.
Just to make sure, we checked the Wrigley field website, and the
site where we bought the tickets, nowhere did it say we couldn't
       bring cameras.
We get to the stadium, and there are big green signs that say
"No umbrellas, no water bottles, and NO CAMERAS." :o
I look around, it's about an hour before the concert starts, and
everyone has a camera, small compacts, SLRs like mine, and
phones. There was NO WAY a camera wasn't going to get in.
So we're one of the first ones in line, we hear Paul doing his
soundcheck. I could peek through and see him on the big screen.
       Awesome.
So time goes by, and more people are beginning to file, and the
Wrigley field staff announces: "Ladies and Gentlemen, there are
absolutely NO CAMERAS allowed in the park."
       And everyone goes nuts.
The staff get together, and then come back out and say: "You may
have small digital cameras, and camera phones, but no cameras
       with removeable lenses."
       My mother was livid.
"SO WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO!?"
"You need to take it to your car or dispose of it."
Yeah, I'm just going to take a sledgehammer to my $400 camera.
Our car was at our hotel. On the complete opposite side of
       Chicago.
The old ladies behind me tried to help.
"Can't you put it in a locker?"
       "Not since 9/11."
       "Damn terroists."
My mother tried arguing with the staff, she was stating fact,
that there was nowhere on the site where we bought the tickets
or the tickets themselves that you couldn't bring cameras. The
staff decided to just scream in her face.
My camera was, quote, "Too professional."
So she left me there and had to spend another $50 on a cab ride
to the hotel and back. She said she was so angry, she couldn't
remember where the hotel was, she had the cab driver help her.
I think it's pretty stupid, since I saw KISS only a few weeks
earlier and was FRONT ROW and took pictures all night and no one
       said a thing to me.
The man said, "Obviously, you've never seen a show in Chicago."
I went in and found my seat. My mom arrived about an hour later,
she sat down in her seat and the first thing she said to me was:
       "It smells like pee."
Despite that, Paul McCartney was probably the best concert I
have ever seen, and ever will see. But I know I will never see a
       concert in Wrigley Field again.

I had a similar problem back in '07 when I saw Muse at Wembley.
No-camera policy that they announced at the gate. Luckily I just
had my little digital that I hid well enough in my bag (same as
everyone else). If I'd had anything bigger I'd've been screwed.

I've got a few more photos to show you guys. They'll be large...
This is a macro shot of a plant. My mum was given a bunch of
flowers and there were some lovely, weird things.

This was taken by putting drops of water on a piece of paper and
shining a rainbow on them using a prism.

These are all great. I especially love the last one, the sepia
       picture.
