Reading Sumerian
By: Mannix Date: April 28, 2018, 6:20 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Mannix had been going to the lessons regularly. He still would
like to find where the man lived, but had not been able to find
a way to find out, not without using Petra, which he was not
ready to do. He really didn't want to put her at risk
He was there, again, waiting patiently..

*each night he had a lesson he learned a little more about the
language but nothing of importants about the man himself*
So how are things going at your home these days?

Mannix had made attempts to not discuss his life more than
necessary, but the man seemed to know more than he should.
"Fairly well. And yours? I hope it is going well?"

Mannix tilted his head.
"I am glad things have gone well for you. I don't think I have
ever seen you so happy. Should I worry. I remember your warning
that once."

Mannix took the book and looked at the man.
"thank you, I think. I assume this means our lessons are over."

yes i have enjoyed them and i hope you learned something
*he put out his hand to shake it when Mannix found and Arrow in
his chest had barely gone in just cracking the sternum when he
looked up he saw there was no head to the body that began to
slip to the ground. What was Cassius now was simply a headless
corpse that began to slowly decay before him. The arrow still
hurt and continued to as it hung there*

Strangely, as surprising as this was, Mannix moved very quickly.
He pulled the arrow out of his chest and sprinted behind cover,
trying to stay as small a target as possible. He used blood to
improve his dexterity and move with alacrity(celerity). At the
same time he used his Auspex to try and identify who had sent
the arrow. He held onto the arrow, rather than tossing it, even
as he looked for safety.

*he did not see or feel anything in the area besides sudden
Screams from nearby persons which caused pain to Mannix as he
was trying to use his Senses*
