How's it going to be.. (Citadel)

She had asked him that morning ... if he could..would he come
home a bit early..before Lauds if possible. She had something
she needed to discuss with him before the sun cut her short. He
had said he would likely be able to. So she skipped working on
her craft tonight to wait here for him.
She brought her new bow and sat perched on the bench making
adjustments to her arms. She would move something, pick up and
pull the bow, only to lay it back down to adjust more. She was
not bothering to close the open wounds spanning the length of
hers hands and forearms, although she had closed off any
bleeding as she worked. Only the cloth in front of her gave any
indication that she had ever bled.
She adjusted another tendon and pulled the bow, this time
wincing as the tendon tore loose. She cursed as she sat the bow
aside -one finger bent back from the remaining tendon having no
counter- and dug it free from the recesses of her wrist, using
her thigh as a brace for the finger, she was reattaching it when
she heard the sounds of Deimos and Phobos at the door outside
...

*the three of them did a good patrol the boys took care of a
small nest of rats and he just patrolled slowly as not many
approached the man and even little went on when he was with in
ear shot. So he gladly returned homeward early. Letting the boys
play before it was time to sleep. He opened the door

She quickly reattached the tendon, and closed the site up. She
was unsure how much "bringing your work home" covered. She was
flexing her hand - her index finger not quite moving in unison
with the others - as he entered the room.
"Love and life am I?"
She stepped down from the bench and drew the bow again.
Satisfied for the moment, she laid it across the bench and
gathered the cloth, folding it and placing it beside the small
quiver.
"Funny that you should say that, I was wanting to discuss
both..."
She crossed the room, only momentarily impeded by the boys, and
stretched up to kiss him.
"It can wait until you make yourself more comfortable. Can I get
you anything?"

So tonight he was the angel, she smiled despite herself
"It was productive. I hacked up a straw man... spent time with
Gavri'el helping him adjust to his new hands... and worked on
perfecting my draw while I waited here. And yours? I can guess
all was peaceful since you are here and in such a good mood?"

yes things have calmed down minus this Elusive Archer who leaves
no scent to track or evidence to follow
*it made him frustrated*
Since it began there are now 13 unsolved with no clear cut lines
to draw them together

She brushed his hair back and kissed him softly. This was a
subjec to return to later as it was souring his mood.
"I am sorry to have darkened your mood. You seemed happy until
this..."
She wrapped her legs around his waist to help support herself as
he held her. This was not going the way she had imagined it
would. Still, she needed to get past this to move on with life,
regardless of how this went.
"I wanted to talk with you tonight about what has occurred and
how that is going to impact us ... or if it will impact us."

his mind snapped back to her as she became lighter to hold with
her wrapping her legs around him*

This had to be handled carefully...something she was less than
skilled at ... but she tried
"Okay then. First, since Mary is no longer a part of me, I want
you to know that you do not have to marry me. I will not hold
you to something you agreed to under duress. Understand that
this in no way means I do not love you..or do not love you
enough to want to be your wife...only that I know you cherish
your freedom and do not want to be the something you end up
regretting because it diminshed your freedom."
She only paused a moment, not long enough for him to form any
response, before she continued
"...I have been feeling as if you are only doing this for my
benefit. I don't want you to do this because I want you to...or
because something you said in jest snowballed into something
serious."

her to slide down to the ground as he stepped back from her
looking her closely*
It may have been said in that mood but since then i have begun
to relish the thought
*he went to a Cabinet and reached inside and a place that was
out of her reach then came before her and knelt*
Was hopeing to wait til the Full Moon but i do not want you to
think for another moment i am insincere about us
*he lifted up a Ring to her letting the Lamps light it up for
her the ring was made of Gold with an inlay of a beautiful wood
her name carved into it which was then in cased in a hard resin
to protect the work*
