*Jason Patron had come early in the afternoon letting Jason know
a Potential Client was coming to see him and wanted to meet them
before beginning work. Said they woud arrive sometime after
Sunset. Jasons wife made sure there was Wine Cheese, and Fruits

Amaris woke beside Thomas that evening and waited patiently as
he dressed for the night's patrol. She dressed as well, a simple
heather grey Bliaut and slippers - something she would wear at
home or out to practice. After kissing Thomas goodbye at the
gate she hurried to find Andrea and they headed off towards the
address the Patron had given her. Outside Andrea created the
brooch again before they stepped up to the door and knocked.

Jason hears the knock at the door and carefully puts down
thevmaterials he wss sorting, before moving to wash his handsvin
a nearby washbasin. Calliope looks in on him from the kitchen
where she has laid out food and wine for the expected guests.
Once his hands were clean, he moved to open the door for his
       guest.
"Hello, and welcome to my shop. Please come in."

Amaris and Andrea bowed and stepped inside.
"Thank you so much for seeing me at this hour. I have a rather
unusual schedule that keeps me busy throughout the day, I truly
appreciate your generosity in accommodating my peculiar
circumstances. This is my friend, Lady Andrea, she was the
recipient of the stunning pendant you created."

Jason waves off the thanks. "There's no need to be so worried
about your schedule and mine. Any respectable craftsman will
alter their hours to cater to their clients," Jason said as he
held the door for the to two of them to enter. "This is my
wife, Calliope. She thought you might enjoy some light
refreshments while we discussed the business that brought you
here. And I must say that I am gratified that you were pleased
with my work on the pendant cameo, Lady Andrea. I must admit, I
enjoyed the challenge that the fine detail work entailed."
Jason ushers them into the kitchen where wine, cheese and fruit
available. "Please, have a seat and we can discuss business."

*Andrea pulled out the chair for Amaris to sit and she stood
just behind her keeping one hand on the shoulder and Amaris felt
it not lightly resting but snuggly as if maybe possessive *
       Your hospitality is gracious Calliope
       *Andrea said with a smile*

She smiled and sat in the chair Andrea offered, and nodded as
she took an offered glass of wine.
"It certainly is, thank you, Calliope."
The pressure of Andrea's hand was unusual. While it felt
possessive, she never knew Andrea to be so. In fact, to her
knowledge Andrea was the least possessive person she knew. The
only other option she could find for this sudden
"possessiveness" was that it was protectiveness, and something
about the current situation gave her reason to be so. She laid a
hand atop Andrea's and gently squeezed it tot let her know she
was aware. Smiling, she turned her attention to Jason.
"To business. I would like to commission you to make two pieces
for me. One brooch and one pendant of the same design... Andrea,
       please show him the pendant."

Jason takes the pendant carefully from Andrea and examines the
       design intensely.
"Hmm, an unusual design, but nothing too outrageous in
execution," Jason mused. "What kind of materials are you
looking for me to use? I would recommend a gold alloy for the
pendant and brooch themselves, and I can either do a gem or
metal inlay for the design. Do you have any preferences?"

She smiled at him as he examined the pendant,
"It is a blend of two family crests. I prefer it to be red, the
deeper the color the better....with the gold of course. I will
leave it to you to decide the best stone as you are the artist
who must work it. You know the temperament of your materials.
However, the brooch is for my beloved's cloak, so it must be
sturdy, and other than size they must be identical. If this is
something you think you can accomplish, then we only have to
talk time and recompense, as I trust your skill completely."
She folded her hands on the table
"And one other caveat, we must take the original with us when we
go. You will have to work from memory and- or sketches you make
       before we go."

"Hmm," Jason says as he takes a minute to think. "For a deep
red gemstone, there are three major options: Red Coral, garnet
and bloodstone. Each has its benefits and maluses. Bloodstone
is very hard and polishes well, so it will wear well, with a
choice of green or yellow inclusions to complement the color.
It is a translucent stone though and can be difficult to shape.
Garnets come in a variety of reds and purples and can be easily
cut and shaped, but again it is a translucent gem rather than a
solid color. Red Coral has a solid color and can be shaped
easily, but is a little softer than the other two and may not
stand up to the wear as well. I feel I can provide a quality
product out of any of these, but ultimately it should be your
       choice."
As Jason lets them consider this information, he gets out a
sheet of parchment and a quill and starts sketching the design
       on the pendant.
