Palace Activities and Work

*the Palace was a busy place dureing the day with people coming
and goings. all manner or merchants and nobles walked the halls
doing various trades and deals. When night began to fall those
are repalced by the more hidden Nobles of the area. Those that
actually controlled alot of the comings and going in the city.
Several of the Resident Kindred were always on hand mainly to
maintain things running aws smoothly as they could . not always
succesful but more so than not. The main hall that was used was
just off the main corridor to the throne room with large set of
doors dividing it. This room was guilded with Gold plush couches
and chairs Full length Taperstires hung from the Ceiling. Ghouls
coming and going tending to the whims of who ever was there.
Their needs wants desires all was the Kindreds to be taken*
.

Mannix arrived at the Palace dressed in well made robes
appropriate for his station, but without the pomp and splendor
of the rich and powerful. The humility he so often projected
showed in his clothing as well as his manner. He came and found
a place, watching the interplay of those who ruled the city,
trying to understand the working of it's politics as well as
it's hierarchy. This wasn't his first time here and he often
listened to the Senators in the past. Now though, he was coming
to figure out the working of the kindred side of these politics,
so he could aid his father. Sharp eyes, a decent intellect, a
good education and the gift to hear whispers and heartbeats (and
the lack thereof) aided him. The training of his Sire and time
spent with him was of no little worth as well.

*As Mannix sat inside the Golden room he saw a few people here
and there walk in. One he recognized immediately was the same
woman he saw on the Mense the other night.
(Natalya ) Soft looking beauty with delicate supple features
with crystal blue eyes framed within her blonde locks
( Belsisarius) An older Gentleman came in with a weathered face
brown eyes a few grey hairs upon his head but a strength in his
build and a aura of dignity about him
( Anna Comnena) a little bit later a Woman with inhuman and
Predatory beauty came in wearing clothing to match her station
in the Palace
Symeon was next Augustian looks gives him the mark of a natural
leader which fill the air
(Stanislav) wearing simple robes, classic Slavic beauty
shoulder length full lips and a strong chin
(Lady Alexia) Deathly pallor in looks even braced in later
years her beauty was still showing giving her a dignified and
conservative appearance
( Malachite ) dead dried skin tightly drawn over the bones
cracks and splits as he moves no hair or eyebrows his nose being
knife thin
(Abetorius) Regal robes man with sybols representing many
different languages adorn the robe woven by what looks like
Silver

Mannix looked over the individuals in the room and walked toward
Symeon. To each person he passed that looked at him, he gave a
small bow of the head out of respect. When he got close he
stopped and waited for there to be a break in any conversation
that happened to be going.
"Good Evening Lord Symeon. I hope this night finds you well."

The night has just begun so it remains o be seen Lord Mannix. .
. have you found your return to the city well so far?
*He was also seeing who was here and who was not as he went back
to looking at Mannix as it would be rude not to. The most
intriguing sight to behold so far as Baron Ferroux come into the
room not by himself as usual but with his sister on his arm.
Tonight had just taken a very sharp turn *

Out of the corner of his eye, Mnnix was noticing who might
actually take note of his presence nd showed any interest in
him. Which is of course how he noticed Lady Amaris walking in
escorted by yet another ferocious looking man. She really was
interested in swords lately, wasn't she?
"Interesting to say the least. Much has changed even as the city
itself seems to have stayed the same. There are many new pieces
on the board."
He smiled slightly noting how few of the people in the room he
had even hear of.

She stopped him outside the door, and words tumbled out like
water...
"Before we enter...do I still look as I should? I just assumed
the dress was suitable since you never answered...there was so
much happening at the moment, what with Andrej and all...and I
know it pains you to see her...and I'm sorry, I did not expect
her to be there...and I cannot see my reflection so I do not
know how I look, other than by looking down at myself, but that
really tells one nothing..."
Her hand went up to cover her mouth and her words suddenly
stopped. She had been so uncomfortable her first time here that
she had never went back, centuries later she was feeling that
same apprehension.
"I am nervous, forgive me..."
She raised up on her toes and kissed his cheek
"I am ready now."

You look beautiful do font worry about that . . As for Andrea I
don't in seeing her . .just would have been to hard overnight.

She relaxed her worried expression as she stepped through the
door. Looking around she first noticed her Brother and Mannix
standing together talking. She scanned the room and found the
beautiful woman from the Mese....and the older man,
Belsisarius?, who's presence one could not forget even through
the centuries...the only other person she recognized was the
beautiful Lady Alexia ...she was the one who ..as a
fledgling...Amaris was most take by. Her composure and
stateliness something she admired beyond a doubt.
She would follow where ever Thomas led her tonight... she was
trying to have no expectations of the evening.
