Mannix sent word to the Monastery requesting an audience. When
he recieved word he made his way to the monastery, greeting the
brothers there in the appropriate way for a monk to greet other
monks, he stood and waited. Gesu was not someone to be hurried.
He held in his hands a book, something lovely and interesting
from his recent trip, a copy he had made himself of a greek
text. The monks might already have it, but it was wel made and
well done.

upon it but we cannot battle a foe we do not understand ...and
if we restrict knowledge, how will the new Kindred hope to

She had to take two steps to his one to keep up...
"And I would learn it, and use it to defend this holy place, and
accept God's judgement against me ....if it meant saving
others."
Her frustration was evident, not only was this a difficult
conversation, but now it was one she was going to be forced to
make in the presence of others.

Mannix stood politely and bowed his head.
"Good evening, your holiness, Lady Obertus."
He kept the gift in his hand and waited to be acknowledged.

She had been looking at Gesu, now her head turned at the sound
of a familiar voice. Mannix .... wonderful. She pasted on a
smile and followed her Sire. He sat as she stood behind his
chair, her red gown blending with his robes.
"Lord Mannix, we meet again. How are things with you and your
creepy friend ...what was his name again....Cassius?"
She looked around as if she half expected to see him hovering
about.

Mannix looked at Gesu, bowing his head respectfully as any good
monk(or ex-monk) would do for someone so holy.
"It is fine your holiness. The Lady Obertus is always welcome.
What I came here for is not a secret."
He turned to the lady behind Gesu.
"Lady Obertus, I am afraid Cassius is not my friend. I met him
for the first time on the day he approached you, not an hour
before. I in fact wanted to see if his Holiness knew of him
considering his interest in you and his likeness. Among other
reasons for this visit."

A Name means nothing to me not heard of it. . .and on his
intentions I can not say as I have not met him

She nodded to Mannix then turned and lowered her head to
address her Sire.
"I think this man only had an interest in Gavri'el It pleases
me to know Lord Mannix has no association with him. I have had
quite enough encounters with weird individuals since I
returned."
She returned to her upright position, unblinking eyes in an
unreadable face.
