She sent Gavri'el on ahead to ready the bedchamber and then
lightly tapped on the girl's door..
"Ladies, I require a few moments of your time."
She politely waited outside the door. Only in the direst
instances would she invade their private chamber without
invitation.

* They had on very simple dress as if for sleeping , on the
table Amaris could see paper and ink as if there was writing
practise also but in a form she did not recognise*

She started with Cassius and his creepy weirdness. Then informed
them of the upcoming visits of Baron Feroux in the early hours
of the morning. Finally she got to Mortis.
"...and finally, the boy you left for me was no boy ... he was
Malkavin who goes by several names..Mortis being the one he used
with me. He informed me he is death..that death comes for us
all...and he would be back for me one day."
She shrugged
"I am less concerned with death than the fact that a crazed
Kindred made it into my home undetected. You will both need to
learn Auspex as this cannot happen. A lunatic knows where I
live...where I sleep...and no one here can identify him for what
he is? This is unacceptable. "

She nodded,
"I was afraid of as much. He slipped in at some point. Just be
viligant, he could appear as anyone or not appear at all. I will
look into other security measures as well, but for now be aware
that he is about and is a possible threat. Now please stand up -
both of you. In the kitchen there are fruits and candies for you
and the children....please have some...do not save it all for
them."
She thought a moment
"Also, in the moring there will be a delivery of fabrics ...You
know where to put them .... this afternoon call on the
seamstress and have her come 'round to measure you both for new
garments. Have her use the larger remenants to fashion items for
the girls. Finally, there are new toys in the library that can
be taken to their quarters."
She did not mention the locket .First because she wished to see
if Thomas could provide help with the picture and also to avoid
making Aliyn feel slighted. She would find something appropriate
for her later. She headed for the door
"Ladies, I am off to my chambers for the remainder of the night.
Try to get some sleep yourselves."
She slipped out the door and made her way upstairs to find
Gavri'el.

*they said as she was leaving. They would take care of some
tonight and the rest in the morning and all would be
accomplished by the time she rose the next evening. When she
got to her room Gabriel was there having drawn her a hot bath
and stood by ready for her*

She stripped off the night's clothes as she walked to the tub.
She stopped beside him and gently brushed the hair back from his
face. Her face wore an expression of adoration and ... lust?
"He's right you know, you are beautiful. How is it that I
overlooked the inevitability of others wishing to possess you?"
She stepped into the bath and eased herself into the blessed
heat. relaxing she let her head fall back and her eyes close.
"What shall I do about this? Lock you away at home? ... make you
wear a hood in public? ..."

*he knelt behind her as she relaxed in the tub and he began to
wash her massageing her shoulders some as he went*
we will be ok. . . I have been this way for awhile and have had
only the one act like that so I think we are safe

One eyes slowly opened to peer at him. Sometimes he was too
serious for his own good.
"You don't wish to be my house pet? ...or my masked guardian?"
She slid lower in the water to hide the curled corners of her
mouth.
