In sight at last

As the day comes to a slow close, a cart trundles down the road
to the gate of Saint Romanus. In it a handsome man and woman of
distinct Grecian features sit in front of a large pile of
possessions covered in an oilcloth. The cart passes through the
gate, with only a stop at the inspection site, where the man
showed the guards a document covered in seals before being waved
through.
"Well, that certainly was an easy entrance," the woman said
tiredly.
"A letter of passage from an Imperial bureaucrat does make
things easier, my dear Calliope," the man replies with an
equally tired smile.
"Should we just find an inn here close to the gate, Jason,"
Calliope asks looking around. "There seems to be plenty of them
here."
"Probably a good idea," Jason agreed. "We can get a meal and a
night's sleep before looking for the studio that my benefactor
arranged for us. Sometime after that we'll probably be
contacted by the local pack and they can tell us who to look out
for and who to rely on."
"Then let's stay there," Calliope said with a wry smile,
pointing at an inn with a sign of a ship covered in eyes.
"It does seem fitting," Jason replied with a laugh as he urged
the carthorse toward The Argo.

*the Inn that they pulled up to was a decent one it had a good
stable and the 2 story building looked sturdy and maintained. A
young boy came up to the horses*
Welcome to the Cats Cellar. . .Will you be staying or just
having food?
*as the name mentioned there did seem to be a number of Cats
around roaming in and out of the stable area and around the
building*

"We'll be staying for the night and having a meal," Jason
replies as he climbs down from the cart, handing off the reins
to Dain and helping Calliope down.

them*

"Both," Jason replies tiredly. "Whatever you have ready for
food is fine. We've been traveling for quite a while." He and
Calliope move to sit at one of the tables in the common area.

"There's a bag behind the seat of the cart," Jason says. "If
your boy could bring that in, I would appreciate it. Other than
that, I think we're mostly interested in eating and then
sleeping on something other than the ground for the first time
in several days."
Calliope rolls her eyes at him and whispers, "I will miss my
furry pillow tonight to keep me warm." and laughs when Jason
blushes and gives her a half-hearted and nervous glare.

I will have it brought in for you. . . if the Pillow is needed I
can also bring it in for you also

*she walked away leaving them alone after a few minutes the boy
brought in their bag*
sorry I did not see a Furry Pillow but I did not look inside the
cart itself

Jason sighs. "Thank you for checking," he tells the boy
awkwardly before turning back to Calliope, who was giving him an
unrepentant smile. "My wife is just having a bit of fun at my
expense." Jason started eating and shortly, the two of them had
finished their meals and headed upstairs to their room for the
night.

*the room while not spacious was under a roof and cozey enough
for the 2 of them to sleep well enough their stuff wa in the
room and was able tobe barred shut from the inside*
will you be talking to your Benefactor tomorrow my great fuzzy
man?
*she said with a smile as she washed her face for the evening*
