Things to Know

We would like to remind all players and staff to respect the
storytellers, admins, and owners of the site. The owners spend a
good deal of time and money to make a place that you can come
and enjoy yourself to play. The Admins and Storytellers
volunteer their time as well to give you storylines and NPCs for
your entertainment.
Storytellers and Admins may at any time create NPCs from almost
any system or make up something entirely new. Just because your
character is a vampire does not mean that all NPCs or
antagonists you run into will be of that system. There are many
systems in the world of darkness and you may find that you do
not understand a power that is being used. Do not badger your
admin or storyteller to tell you the storyline or specifics. I
know it can be frustrating to not know how something is being
done but sometimes that is the point. As in the world there will
be times when things will frustrate you and you will not be able
to explain them. Instead of attacking your admin or storyteller
ask yourself several simple questions. Would the admin really do
something just to screw me or my character over? Could there be
a bigger reason that they are doing this?
If you feel that an admin is doing something just to be mean all
you need do is say you are withdrawing your character from the
scene and leave. You do not have to participate in anything that
you think is unfair. If an admin is badgered and harassed by
players for running a storyline then they have the right to end
the storyline immediately. If they feel the players reacted
inappropriately or were harassing them they can bring the matter
to the owners who will review the situation and take action
against players if need be. In most cases just a cooling off
period for all parties will smooth things over, but please keep
in mind just because you don't agree with something going on
does not give you the right to intimidate, distrust, bully or
harass a member of the staff and the staff does not have to
stand for such behavior.
We appreciate everything that all the staff and players bring to
the site. We are trying to make this a fun and enjoyable place
to spend time. Please keep that in mind the next time you get
frustrated with something that is being run and remember to
remind yourself that for every frustration you face now the fun
in the end will be that much more rewarding.
We are playing a World of Darkness game and in it, there are
almost all aspects of all of the World of Darkness systems in
it. In addition to:
Shifters
Mummies
Mortals
Vampires
Mages
Each with their different sub types, blood lines, off shoots,
infernal type and/or variations... We also have running as NPCs
Demons
Imbued Hunters
Fomori
.....and more being played on the site as well. These systems
and all these opponents are not in place to better SCREW your
characters over. They are here to make for better and more fun
roleplay. It also relies on a bit of trust on the players part
in the Administrator running the story-lines. Another thing that
should be remembered is that there are 2 primary ways that we
play here.
(1) Free form: Where little or no rolls will be made and
generally the admin will tell the story and allow others to
react to the story being told for the most part and...
(2) You can roll on EVERY action and EVERY challenge that occurs
in the scenes you are in. This will generally mean your
character is at risk the entire time, no punches pulled. You
cannot have it both ways.
Never assume your character is stronger than anything else out
there. This is the OWoD. There is ALWAYS something out there
more powerful than you
