The evening came and Mannix was woke. He stretched and then went
down to find his daughters. He knew Petra would be doing her
lessons. He needed to talk to her. Plus, quite frankly, he
missed her. He had been doing a lot of work lately. He liked
being around the girl. He had come to care about her deeply.

"I always sleep well. I like to think itsbecause I have you two
close. How are you doing Petra? And how are you Alice?"

He smiled at the two of them.
"It sounds like Alice is a good teacher. And you Latin is
getting better as well. I am impressed. You have been working
hard. I was hoping to talk to you Petra, if I could. I know you
are busy. Would you like to head out for a little or we can talk
here, whatever you prefer."

"Want to take a walk? We can walk out toward the gardens and
just talk for a little. I miss having you around, and going on
our walks. How does that sound?"
