Dureing the Night ( Cyra )

*Cyra had gone to sleep not to long after the House Mother,
Athena had left her. The name brought cherished memories of the
Temple of Aphrodite and all had readily accepted her there. As
she slept her mind drifted back to the Greek lands looking out
over the Aegean Sea, Sparkling and Blue it gave her a sense of
joy. She was looking when she noticed a shimmer coming off the
water and rising up the cliffs towards her. Was a feeling of
something familiar but could not place. Was a feeling of joy and
peace as the Shimmer seemed to begin to pull apart were once was
a simple shimmer soon it hand 2 legs 2 arms and a head. It was
seemingly taking a Human form. The shapeless arms reached out
towards Cyra and when their bodies touched She woke. Not in fear
but a small sense of Joy and Loss, before it could begin to set
in she heard the sounds of movement in the Hallways it was time
to wake to begin her day*

She lay there a moment longer, trying to recapture anything
about dream that would give her a clue to the happiness and loss
she felt upon waking. She opened her eyes feeling frustrated and
confused by it all. Sitting up she took a deep breath and got up
to cross to her alter. She said a prayer to Aphrodite thanking
her for all she had given one so unworthy as herself. She
thanked her for the dream, the joy and the confusion, as the
confusion would spur her on, lead her to new places and a new
understanding of herself. Finished, she began her morning
preparations, dressing and making her way downstairs to greet
the others and the world.
As she passed the kitchen she stuck her head inside and smiled
at Sarah.
"I will see you after work and your studies tonight Sarah
songbird. Have a good day, all of you!"
Despite her cheerfulness and prayers of thanks...something
wriggled at the back of her mind...something she should know but
just couldn't quite grasp.

*she was down stairs hearing how the girls at night and all that
occurred. Nothing out of the Ordinary. As she got her items
ready and headed out towards the main area there was a feeling
to check on the House Mother. When she arrived to see the House
Mother she was found laying on the floor*

She gasped then knelt down and shook her gently,
"Housemother....housemother!..Athena! Athena!" She laid her head
against her chest and listened for her breathing and heartbeat.
She began to pray under her breath...

*There was no sound or movement that Cyra could distinguish as
she began to pray she felt Athena Body warm and her chest rise
more then some coughing*
What... what happened
*her words were shallow and quiet*

Cyra was crying by then. "I...I don't know...you were ...and
I...are you okay?" She was trying to help her up so she could
lay her down somewhere comfortable. Sense was coming back to her
are she focused on the problem at hand, "How do you feel? Do you
remember anything?" She got her to the closest chair to let her
rest. When she did, she began to look her over for clues to what
had happened. First any physical damage from the fall, then her
eyes, fingertips, breathing, anything that may give her insight
on what had happened.

*as Cyra looked Athena over there was not a scratch on her nor
bruise upon all she could see*

*as she sat back in the chair and took a breath when she did her
eyes seemed to get a bit larger and she took another breath.
Then looked to Cyra as if something had happened and it was
good*

She was crouched down before the housemother, still holding one
hand to be sure there was no damage when she heard the intake of
breath. She looked up to find Athena looking down at her as if
all was right in the world. Her face put an uncertain smile on
over the worried expression. "Athena? IS everything okay? You
look...suddenly happy for a woman who was just prone on the
floor."
It was becoming an interesting morning.

I... I am.. i dont feel any pains in my knees. . .the fall must
have done something
*she extended leg leg fully and back again*
if not the floor then you with your prayers to Aphrodite either
of those answers i will welcome gladly
*she even stood up and gave a small spin as her dress flared
some*

Oh no, she had not realized she had spoken so loud as to be
heard when praying. She smiled" Yes, well sometimes a fall can
be like that...releasing things that before were thought
injured. Perhaps it was only tension that held your knee in such
pain." She had no desire to try to explain to the church why she
was praying to 'false gods' instead of the 'one true God'.
She took hold of Athena's waist as she spun, "Athena please, you
just had an accident, please sit..." She gently attempted to
lower her back into a seated position. "Tell me, do you remember
what happened to cause you to fall?" She had see people who were
injured suddenly feel better and believe themselves fine, only
to worsen quickly a short time later. "I want to be certain you
are fine...all of you..not just your knees."
