* By the time Amaris awoke Gavriel had already taken care of the
newest of her srevant. on elderly couple was working with the
linenes for the house the Ferrier was out at the stable checking
horses the other elderly couple was in the kitchen. all doing
the best they could in their jobs.
Andrej was with Aliyna and was helping her with monitoring and
keeping everythign on a schedule. The final one the others
thought had simply not wanted to be there and had left dureing
the night he was however 15 feet below them in the work and
holding area. He was chained to a wall, blood running from his
mouth and upon the table sitting in a bowl was his tongue as he
was instructed*

Gavri'el, as always, delivered. Once up and about she made her
way around the household to speak with the new servants.
welcoming them to the household and making sure they had all
been given quarters,informed of their stipend,and other such
matters. It was, of course, all for show. She know Gavri'el had
done this and more....and frankly- with the exception of Andrej
- she didn't care.
However, as she was making her way to the holding area she hit
upon a idea. ...Perhaps she could get a few of the city's
orphans ..those who were deformed and of little use...and with a
bit of work she could sculpt away the sins of their fathers and
reveal God's perfection within them. These two elderly couples
could be useful in training them ... a sort of substitute
grandparents.... She mad a note to find Aliyna later and ask
about the orphanage.
Arriving at the holding area she took only a moment to ready
herself before sweeping into the room...She leveled her gaze at
the mess before her. Her voice was powerful and the tone was one
of disappointment and disgust...
"You decrepit cur...how regretful you must feel now for turning
your back on God. He brought you to my doorstep, I invited you
in, fed you, offered you shelter and protection in His
name....and ...YOU....SPIT....ON....HIS....GIFT!.....IN HIS
HOUSE!?!?!"
As she spoke she stalked closer...
"Look at what turning from His grace has brought you to .... "
She grabbed his face and pried his mouth open as he struggled.
Shoving her fingers into his mouth she grasped the ragged stump
of his tongue and, using her skill, removed the seeping, ragged
edges leaving only a smooth nub of quivering muscle. She tossed
aside the detached tissue as he continued to make the low
guttural sounds of one deprived of the means to form actual
words.
She pulled his face close to her own and snarled..
"Stop that incessant noise before I decide to remove parts until
I have silence!"
She dropped his face and stepped back
"...after all, we have your penance and you salvation to
discuss.."

*there was no relief from the sudden stench coming off him as he
lost control no matter how hard he tried to stop the whining
and begging he could not with the removal of what was left of
his tongue just sealed it. There seemed to be no end to his
incessant noise coming from him still*

She stalked over to him and grabbed his throat. Running her
index finger over the cartilage of his Adam's apple to the area
just below. With one thrust her finger popped through skin and
tough ligament below. She twisted her finger hollowing out the
hole a bit before removing her finger....
The guttural noises ceased...becoming only a soft hiss of breath
through the new hole. She released him once more...
"As I was saying ... you shall be given three days to make your
peace with God ... in that time you will pay penance for your
disgusting display of moral weakness in the face of His grace.
Look upon me and know that I have come to cleanse you of your
sins before sending you to stand before His majesty...."
Her tongue slithered from between her lips and extended towards
him .... it's length beyond human limits, it's shape something
of nightmares. She plunged it into the new hole she created as
it was the cleanest place on his body. She moved to angle it
towards the large artery in the neck while the man rasped and
flailed below her.
She withdrew after a moment, leaving him weak and sobbing. She
placed a rosary in his still shackled hand...
"This begins your first day of penance ... look to our Heavenly
Father and beg forgiveness."
She turned and was gone as quick as she had come.
Adjusting herself as she ascended for the lower level she made
another mental note..this one to instruct Gavri'el to have that
creature cleaned up before she visited to feed again.

* when she reached the top znd once again closing the door she
found Aliyna and Andrea together both dressed nicely. Both their
backs to where Amaris.. Andrea turned and bowed *
Good Evening Lady Amaris how may I help you this evening
*Aliyna then turned also and bowed. Andrea voice was a bit more
aive than it had been 24 hiursnearier

She slapped on a quick smile as Andrea turned, then Aliyna
followed suit.
"Andrea, could you possibly find Gavri'el for me? I have a
matter I need him to attend to."
She then looked to Aliyna
"Aliyna what do you know of the orphanage at St. Pauls? Do they
still struggle under the burden of so many unwanted children?"
She knew they did not actually struggle ... Michael had always
made sure of that, he would never let children starve. However,
there were always so many unwanted children...many with
deformities that even the most loving parents were not equipped
to handle.

Yes Mi Lady the orphanage is always in need, they do have
enough to survive but not enough to trually expand or get the
kids that are taken in by other families
*she stood up once more just not looking into her eyes*

"No, the information you have was fine. You are doing quite
enough as it is, what with keeping the household running and
taking on the newcomers."
She thought a moment about how well the house had been kept
while she was away, and how Aliyna was the main reason it was
so.
"In fact, I will let Gavri'el know to increase your stipend in
relation to the extra work you are doing."

"I expect nothing less from you, however the stipend will be
raised ... Most fail to appreciate the difficulties inherent of
this work- I am not one of them. I hope that when Andrea is a
bit more trained we can let her handle smaller things. I would
like for you to have some time for your own pursuits."
She then added
"Oh, and I expect Gavri'el informed everyone that he alone will
be caring for the lower level now that we have returned? I am
very particular about my work and he is the only one I trust
near it. It's very fragile and time consuming, you
understand?...No one is to go beyond this door without my
express permission."
In her Manor it pays to be loyal - and lacking in curiosity.
