       Leaf springs

This might be old news, but some golf buggies use a leaf spring
transversely for front suspension. Might be and option when
       looking for leaf springs.

Always worth another look. New, they appear to be only a bit
cheaper than getting a bespoke set made. I’ve not seen the
dimensions on any of the sets for sale on eBay. Do you happen
to know for example, the typical width and thickness of the
       steel?
I know people elsewhere have made leaf springs narrower with a
cutting disc (and lots of cooling).
These springs from Indespension look interesting
  HTML https://indespension.co.uk/1200kg-7-leaf-spring-eye-to-eye.

Like most springs they are 2” wide so would need cutting down
(except perhaps for a transverse set-up?). The eyes are also
likely to look a bit clunky, but they are much cheaper than
bespoke. I would have bought some to try but need to wait
until I’m passing a branch because shipping almost doubles the
       cost.

       Stefan,
I have a trade account with Indespension and can normally get a
good discount, let me know if you want to order anything. Quite
often I can get things sent carriage paid as well.

From what I can find out, buggy springs are about 27" overall
length, 1 3/4" wide and around 3/8" thick. Can't find anything
       on the lb of them.
