Also made a start on the front axle. 38mm cds and 6mm thick C
hubs. Used Gemini Karts king pin housing & spacer set but added
some bronze bushings. Just waiting for the stub axles from my
local engineering shop.

Chassis tacked together and a quick mock up to see if the
proportions are ok.
Is it just me or do other people sit and stare at the kart
working out things in your head ?

Looking good Noel, and no, it's not just you. Staring at it,
getting up off the sofa in the middle of a t.v. show and going
to stare at it, waking up with new solutions for it after
dreaming about it, stopping conversations mid sentence when
something important and cycleKart related enters your head, and
many other lapses I have been guilty of.
I am definitely not obsessed, ( ??? ) but now the build stage is
at an end, I often wonder if it is just the beginning of more
tinkering to get it better or I have to start another one to
keep me interested. ;D

I know that I have only just started to build my first cyclekart
but I am already planning for my next.
These things are slightly addictive ! [emoji15]
Just waiting for parts to arrive from the engineering shop
before I can go any further, can't wait to get it rolling under
its own power.

I've been working at the Vale all day today and seen to have
very little to show for my efforts, just a couple of brackets.
Not sure where the time went. 🥺
Did get something nice in the post, a nice new Vale badge for
the front of the grill. Not cheap but really nicely made.

Brackets are made from bits of steel i have lying around,
nothing fancy, maybe I should get the wife out to give me a
hand. She is good at making something out of nothing ! 😁

Grill was a bit more work to make than I had expected, so many
angles.
Don't think I would be capable of making this in metal,
probably will have to be made in fiberglass.
Did find a good chrome spray paint so should be able to make it
look the part.
Can't beat a bit of CAD to get the body shape correct.

Had a go at making a tube bender today. It's not the prettiest
thing in the world as its made from scrap I've lying about the
garage but it works. Made the dash hoop from 16mm box section.
Looks OK for my fist attempt.

Impressive symmetry on the dash hoop, seems pretty good for a
first go!
