What size turning circle are people getting?

Don't know what the turning circle will be yet for certain but I
have an average full lock steering angle of 27[sup]0[/sup]
either side of straight ahead.
Putting this into a formula of half track plus wheelbase/sin.
average steering angle gives me about 4.4M or 14.5 ft radius

I was a bit worried that mine would be enormous but it is about
the same as yours at roughly 15 feet radius.

Hi Jim.
Don't forget that the inside wheel needs to have much more lock
than the outside one when turning. (See Ackerman angles in the
guide to building a cyclekart at the front).

Thanks Adrian, I have the Ackerman built in in the Gemini
standard steering arms and it looks right for the rear wheel,
The average either side of center is 27[sup]0[/sup]
... Although I hope this doesn't prod the denouncers of Ackerman
too much, it's just what came from Gemini :)

I think the Ackerman angles on the Gemini axles are pretty well
correct. I don't suppose any small differences make much
difference to a cycleKart anyway.
All looking very good.
