The Autocar Handbook

If you're interested in cars from the 20's and 30's...and given
you're interested in cyclekarts, that's got to be fairly likely,
I'd thoroughly recommend getting a copy of The Autocar Handbook
from the period (up to about the 17th edition is pre-war). It
gives a great insight into the technology of the period and can
be helpful if you're trying to emulate some feature -
aesthetically and/or technically. Autojumbles are often a good
place to pick one up.

Thank you Chris. It's very interesting, especially the diagrams
of the from axle and steering.
£90 for a driver (with clothing) and £12 10s for Stabling - Ah

Just had a flick through the autocar handbook from the link, it
makes for an interesting read, i wonder if someone has tried to
write a handbook covering modern cars, !! so some people are
more knowledgeable about there cars !!!, i work as a mechanic
even i strugle to understand them !!. Or how about a handbook on
cyclekarts !!!?.

According to the website the pdf is on its 1910. The 13th
Edition was 1935
The 13th edition is less rudimentary than the one above and
covers lots of the prewar car technology.

The archive that Chris shared has an amazing array of
downloadable car books from the period.

I've just invested a whole £6.99 in a 6th edition from 1914,
I'll report on it when it arrives.
