       Peugeot Quadrilette Grimaud

       Yes, here I go again!
I stumbled across the attached bit of history of a Peugeot
racing car from the 1920s and instantly knew I had to do it.
Having owned a "real" Quadrilette, and driven the one from Doug
and Hellen of www.gittrevillegp.com it was a foregone
       conclusion.
The plan is to have the drive system readily swapped between the
Napier (which still stumbles through build erratically) and the
       Grimaud.
Construction is what I frequently commend, the plywood "box"
with adornments which is the heart of the Stevenson build, and
       of course time proven.
As is normal, for me, I have made some of the small bits which I
like and can find the space for, before tackling the main game,
the body/chassis unit. A slight complication is that I started
the body before the temperatures dropped below where I am
comfortable using epoxy, and of course being very budget
conscious (too many projects at once) I also ran out of glass
tape which forms the corner joints.

I'm having immense problems posting updates, just trying the
"quick reply" to see what's happening.
20th April, front bulkhead made, horizontal bulkhead from the
front to the scuttle, fairing the scuttle, and hacking up the
canoe I got of Freecycle which makes the top of the tail.

Well that's certainly got a nice bit of shape to it.

       Voisin now dismantled in Seattle.

Bugger! I finally get it on it's wheels (sort of as I am waiting
for a few bits, adaptor plates, bearings and some to arrive) and
I received a phone call to tell me that the replacement knee is
       imminent.
The operation was cancelled March 2 years back after a 3 year
wait, then I was dropped off the list. It will mean that getting
into an awkward little car may be a step too far, this year.
That must mean it's time to get back onto the Napier.

On the positive side, congratulations being at the front of the
       queue!
