Potential Venue in the North East

Asa result of a work email I approached NY500, website

Thesefolks would be delighted to have some
Cyclekarts at their "Speedfest 2022" for display, and probably
the opportunity to, as they put it "Zoom around"
I know this may be a bit early for our Northern friends, and I
also understand it's a great distance for many. For me it's 145
miles.
It's near to Pickering where "Bangers and Cash" is filmed, and
much to do in the area on the North Yorkshire AONB.
For anyone that has interest in this year, in the first place
please contact me email rhysnolan307@gmail.com and I'll build on
that.
I did say it may be too soon yet, but I have a strong feeling
that the whole venue/growth of the activity is somewhat chicken
and egg, until there are places to play there won't be
enthusiastic builds, and vice versa.

I agree about the chicken/egg Rhys.
If the dates for Speedfest 2022 don't fit it in with folk,
perhaps we can arrange a bit of a do there later in the year, a
'club meet' that they encourage, especially if there is
somewhere to have a run.
As for next year, I hope to have my ck ready and that will be a
whole new picture.
Let's wave the flag for the North East and Yorkshire.
There is so much to do and see around Pickering. It is a
beautiful area. Worth a holiday there.

Agreed that Pickering is a good shout, and I have holidayed near
there, the steam railway, Whitby down the road, and an often
neglected attraction of Scarborough Fair Collection... But not
this year for me.

I'm inclined to agree Jim as I already have things in the diary
(so she tells me).
Perhaps we can get a date penned in for a club meet in Autumn or
Spring 23.

I would be up for going to Pickering if my Cyclekart is
finished. Put in my second day yesterday and really coming on
well, but today has thrown up lots of issues, you could say say
two steps forward and one step back!

I have just been messaged by the owners of the property, they
would be thrilled to host something, sometime!
I guess that goes back to the chicken and egg I mentioned in the
first post.

Chris, so far nobody with cars ready to run has shown interest,
so I have told them nothing is likely this year.
