Sywell Classic pistons and props 24-25 sept 2022

I have applied for a club stand at this show

with the intention of a display
and perhaps setting up a course on the runway for roundy roundy
and also doing the corona speed challenge. This is a full
weekend show with an excellent art deco hotel (and BAR) or
camping. There are bands playing on the Sat evening. Entry for
club members is £5 per car which includes 2 tickets for the
whole weekend. Camping is £40. There are prizes for best club
ect. They are doing sprints up the runway so if your feeling
athletic have a go at that lol. I might take my dragster which
should be a bit quicker than running and less effort. This is
usually an excellent weekend show with plenty going on so put
your names down so i can give the organisers some numbers.

I'll go, fancy the Art deco Hotel or the camping.
Either way count me in.
Are we going as a group under CKGB?
What if we take two vehicles?

I would think the hotel will book up quickly. I will probably
camp and have a huge berghaus inflatatable tent that has 3
seperate bedrooms. Two vehicles should be fine.

It does. In my opinion it is over-rated. It is not in the nice
airfield building, but across the drive in the modern building.
Chances are it is already booked up.
I love a lot of the design detailing on the deco building - real
inter-war aerodrome stuff.
I learned to fly there
