Front axles

I will get straight to the point, does anyone know or can
recommend a manufacture or supplier of front axles.
Reason for the information is due to the fact that Gemini karts
have advised me that they are having issues with their suppliers
meaning they cannot give me a date for the manufacturing and
supply of their axles as advertised.

Is this another example of steel shortages? It might be worth
asking if you were able to source the steel, whether they could
fabricate it for you?

Chris S, I think you have nailed the problem, steel shortages.
May I also compliment you on some, “lateral thinking”. Sourcing
the tubular steel may be possible but would they undertake the
fabrication that’s the question. 🤔🤔

I've just spoken with Chris Merriman at Gemini. Steel supplies
are an issue but they now expect a delivery next Monday.

Just an update for anyone thinking of approaching Gemini karts
for a front axle.
Working on the contents of Graham’s posting, I made contact with
Chris of Gemini karts. To cut a long story short there is no
steel tubing and it is unlikely that any will be
sourced/delivered within the next 3 weeks so I’m still in the
market for any options should fellow builders have any.

Oh, that's odd? I think they told me they were 'hoping' an
order would turn up. Must have been hijacked! Or did you just
not want to pay English prices?

Graham, I believe the steel supplier may have been less than
honest which has had a knock on effect.
As for payment you must have some Scottish blood in you sir,
knowledgeable that us “Scotts” don’t like to see our hard earned
“SILLER” ( a.k.a. Money) flowing South of the
wall.😁😁

Must be a day for getting “STUFF”.
Just had a call from Gemini Karts and they now have the steel
tubing in to start up making front axles again.
SO if anyone is looking to buy an axle from them, get in now.
As for me, I’m away to lie down in a darkened room for a time as
this is toooooo much excitement for me, not to mention all that
money which has flowed out of my bank account. It’s like
watching your life blood drain away in front of ones own eyes.
I don’t know if I will get over this for weeks🤪🤪
