Well, been thinking about this for sometime, and if I am going
to post progress updates I thought I should start at the Very
beginning. Cutting the lawn at the weekend I decided not to
dismantle the lawnmower, but did have a look around for anything
that might help start a build. 2 x 2500 1X3 section steel
appeared and they looked ideal for the chassis rails. I think
they are 3mm thick so may be too heavy, but we'll see. various
tools that haven't seen the light of day for years, but will
now. O and a chrome Daimler Rad grill !!, that may come in
handy for another project.
Now I just need to cut up the rails and start, I'll post when
any progress is made, Soon.

I might have just lost my reply (not great with IT). but I'll be
happy if its safe,ish and resembles the first photo I posted,
the body is fairly plain but the rad surround and cockpit are
pretty recognisable, I'll do my best but Ive got a lot, no
everything to learn. (close up of cockpit with dad at the helm)

Chassis rails and cross beams cut, and its all getting very
heavy!? Im thinking i'll have to cut numerous holes in the side
of the chassis and bolt the bodywork through the inside edge to
the chassis members. Im also a bit nervous about cutting and
bending the chassis around the front springs and may opt for a
straight rails, ladder chassis and mask it with the bodywork as
best I can. (body is going to be as light as I dare, or ill need
a V8 just to move. New compound saw cut through the rails like
butter! im sure that wouldn't have been that easy, back in the
day. Im going to order the front axle and work on bodywork
while I wait, watching the link on front springs, Midland
springs, here I come.
