Sir Malcolm Campbell's; Austin Seven Class H Record Breaker....

Thought about time i entered my inspiration vehicle on here.
The advice seems to be go for something straight forward , for
your first CK.
The ever so humble but brilliant little Austin Seven fits the
bill...for me anyway.
It was going to be the Red Mclaren Seven , but then i realised
Steve Cole had already done it , so looked further and found the
Class H car of
Sir Malcolm Campbell , which achieved 94.06 mph at Daytona
beach.

I have to say that your Austin Seven showed how true the KISS
principle is
It has made me rethink the drive method for the 'Beast'. I now
think that keeping it as simple as possible is the key to having
a fun day out so I am pondering going directly from the
centrifugal clutch to the plate wheel.
I am toying with the idea of using one of the Tillitson engines
too.
Anyway, really nice, smart Cyclekart, very well done!

Thank you Adrian. Was great to meet you again.
Can't wait to see The Beast and good luck with "simplifying" the
rear end on the Renault.

I need to correct the above. Rhys did own Bruce McClarens Austin
Seven but only for a short time and he did not race it.
Sorry.

Ok Finally ...... some retrospect build details.
As some of you know i started with a Brooklands corporate
chassis (towards the end of last year) , which i knew i was
going to cut the "Nerf" bumpers off.
Over Christmas , had time my hands, with lockdown etc and had
new Holesaws and better quality drill and Arbours as presents
from my Sons.
So decided to do this ; (Was inspired after seeing pics of
Simon Glenn's Chassis.
