I dont see any reason why it wouldnt run but tbh its too much of
a piece of actual history to risk damaging. Still has the
original, handmade spark plug. I visited the australian science
museum and saw the one they have there when i was down in Oz a
couple years ago, got talkin to the chap who looks after their
engineering section. Belvedere smith is a bit of a historical
national hero down there.
Ive got an Atom III hydro engine as well, the 30cc 2 stroke
designed by ET Westbury. A lovely thing, like a small motorcycle
racing engine. It needs a new carb and disc valve machining up
and a repair to one of the cylinder studs but im hopeful ill get
that one going at some point.

Well the project has really made progress in the last couple of
months, spurred on now with Grimsthorpe event on my doorstep in
August. Have a look on FB group for progress pics ! Current
state of body buck is nearly done, hoping to have GRP moulding
done by the end of July 🤞 in between 2 drag racing
events, finishing a chicken house & run and a weeks holiday !

Very impressed. Are you going to make one piece off that or
multiple that are then bonded

Plan is to mould it in one piece, sand and fill for paint, then
breakout and bin the buck. It will need cutting for engine and
drive line access and "bonnet" for access to front suspension,
,steering and foot controls, probably will need to open up the
cockpit a bit too. Its going to be itchy !!!!

Its a good looking shape Simon and the beauty of making a mould
is you can make many bodies very quickly. They could easily be
plopped on to a chassis saving loads of time building a CK.

Although being up and running for a couple of years, I just
found some pics of moulding the body so let's see if I can get
them loaded.

Once the plaster was faired in with bonding coat and
sanded..(several times ) it was decoupaged with cooking foil and
waxed ready for grp.
