Stretton Karting Circuit (Leicester) Sunday 5th May 2019

This meeting date is now confirmed for our calendar.
The circuit and clubhouse is open at 09.00 with the track open
at 10.00.
We will be allocated a slot of 15 minutes of track time every
hour during the day, with free access to the adjacent shale oval
throughout the day. A cordoned area of the paddock will be set
aside for our use.
Entry fee for competitors is £35 for the day. The clubhouse is
open to everyone and the bar will be open and hot pizza is also
available, together with soft drinks and snack machines.
We will be required to wear a crash helmet on the circuit.
Period-looking racing gear can be worn for demonstration runs,
but for serious racing full-face helmets and racing overalls are
recommended, these are available for a combined hire charge of
£5 for the day.
Of course spectators are welcome, and we hope to see as many
people on the day as possible.

Excellent.
Do we need to pay deposit by a certain date, or just pay on the
day???

All been very quiet, was there anything decided about Stretton
when at the Coventry meet up?
How many competitors do you expect?
How many 15min sessions?
ideal 2 practice sessions, a heat, and final, and if any non
competitor is handy with a stop watch a handicap race?
perhaps a driving test course on the oval?
Just a few thoughts, not being pushy, honest, Cheers Geoff

Hi Geoff. I can tell that you are warming up your engine
already.😀 !!
I will be visiting the circuit in the next few days to finalise
details.
In the interim it will be very helpful to understand exactly how
many competing cars we will have. (Running, Not necessarily 100%
complete)
As I understand to date:
Geoff, Bill, Stefan, Chris, Me, Sarah, Rhys. Making 7 total.
If I have this wrong, I apologise, can you please let me know.

Yes I'll be there, no real distractions this week, so I'll have
a real go at getting a running kart by the end of the week.

This is Chris S speaking, (not Chris B)
I'm hoping to have a motorized wooden box by then, not complete
enough to run on the main circuit but I'd like to do some laps
on the shale if poss.

Yes test running around the shale oval should be fine.
I called in to see Nick at Stretton circuit earlier today to
check that all is still arranged and to confirm that we have use
of the shale oval on the day.
