Lifan HP engine.

Alex at Red circles is thinking of potentially importing the
Lifan HP (10hp) engine from his supplier. He has asked me to
gauge demand from the club as his minimum order is 10 units.

He hopes to be competitive with the price from Westbank, who we
hear may not be continuing with the engine. He has also
requested from his supplier that they are 3/4" shaft.
Please reply below if interested.

No it’s not Rhys. Look at the link on Jim’s post, I have one of
these committee approved 9.5 HP 212cc in my Wasp.

Yes the link says that, but Jim's original post says
"potentially importing the Lifan HP (10hp) ..." the 10HP that
Lfan HP have in their list is the 270cc, just saying it needs to
be clear.

For clarification, this is the engine all members should have
had an email about as an allowed engine last week
It is 7.5KW or 10HP and not to be fiddled with other than
modifying the existing exhaust to vent the hot gasses outside
the bodywork. Alex is yet to fully price these but is aiming to
be competitive with Westbank which I believe were circa £300
If you follow the link above, that was the link I sent to Alex
and which he sent to his supplier in China. At this moment this
is all I know.
Rhys, look at the engine in the link, it has CDI ignition, an
oil pump and oil filter, electric start and at 208 (212cc)
produces 10HP which is our limit.

Thanks for clarifying Jim. I don't know about others, but I as a
member have had no emails at all except the one that
acknowledged me paying on November 8th and one between us about
2026 Race the Waves.
