       1929 Mercedes SSK

       So, having visited Jon Pearce and with the intention of visiting
       Jeff Heath soon, I have selected the 1929 Mercedes SSK as my
       inspiration. It will conform to the Stevenson formula/published
       rules. A photo of a Mercedes SSK and a line drawing are
       attached. I've started building a jig, with the next step being
       the chassis, much simplified, after I've drawn up a half scale
       side view drawing on a roll of wallpaper.
       I'll post a photo of the jig as soon as it is complete and the
       chassis once I get going. I hope to have a rolling chassis by
       next spring although that may be ambitious given quite an
       intrusive job needed on the Marlin Sportster.
