Looking good chris, having spent alot of time trying to 3d model
the W125 for mine, I can sympathise how difficult it is to
recreate the shape at the front and it look right, but it looks
great! Can't wait to see it done.

We're happy with the front now so we'll get on and cover in
fiberglass, once set we'll remove the clay and foam then we'll
be left with a removable nose cone.

Progress is coming along no thanks to the weather. fiberglass
nose was a success whether it was the best option I don't know,
only because I had to mould it in situe because I needed it to
fit around the chassis and I could not get the fiberglass to
stay in place with a release agent because of gravity, so I did
not use any which worked but made it a pain to get off. So as it
is now controls are all in with my modded pedal box and a pull
handbrake from a Hilux, finishing making the rest of the ply
formers ready to cover in strip wood then fiberglass.

Lots of good progress CK, Love it the shape is developing well
with those lines and stations.
The predominant paint code for silver in Germany at the time was
RAL 9006. It was used extensively for the pre war German railway
as a rust inhibiting paint. The first W cars were bare aluminium
as legend had it, they would have been white but the layer of
paint took them over the 750kg dry weight.
