Petrol vaporisation and overheating

After a lot of problems with overheating causing petrol
vaporisation, i think I have it cured. An aluminium heat
sink/shield sandwiched between the manifold and carb insulator.
It seemed to work last weekend and the engine ran without fault.

Thanks for the tip, it sounds like a simple and effective
solution. BTW, what size of Nibbi carb did you buy? From what
I've learnt to date, they seem to be a reliable upgrade.

I let Tim do all the testing and setting up, then I just took
his advice and bunged the 100 jet in and lifted the needle one
grove. well happy with it.
Much better quality than the VM22 Mikuni copy that i could never
realy get set up right.
