---------------------------------------------------------
This first post of this topic will be updated as and when
information is received or becomes available.
DATE: 25th March
VENUE: Stretton Kart Circuit
STATUS: Endorsed
DESCRIPTION: Stretton is where cyclekart activities started in
the UK. Dynamic activities on the kart circuit. A Test and
Tune day, plus an Endurance/Reliability Trial.
Heres a video of some recent cyclekart action at Stretton
HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgdzpXWbvU8&t=107s
JURISDICTION: NORA Permit.
EVENT SUPPORT ROLES:
Event Lead – Ian Fletcher
Clerk of Course – Ian Fletcher
Deputy Clerks of Course – Graham Hill
Event Secretary – Ian Fletcher
Marshals/Timekeeper – Jim Rawnsley 90%, Jay Pratt, Colin Pratt,
Paul Johnson. Drivers will be required to take it in turns to
marshal some of the sessions.
Medical - Venue staff.
EVENT REGULATIONS: See attachment to this post.
COSTS: Likely to be approximately £40. Timing transponder (not
required for test & tune) will be an additional £5. See
attached entry form for price.
OTHER COMMENTS:
This is not an event to find the fastest cyclekart, it is an
event to find the most reliable and consistent cyclekart/driver
combination. Please see the attached endurance/reliability
document to this heading post of this topic, for more detail.
Please be aware that this is not your usual CKGB event, where
most people generally run for a total of perhaps 40 minutes
throughout the day. At this event, you will probably be on
track for a total of 80 minutes or more.
The Event Regulations and Entry Form have both been drafted and
will be released by 25/2/25.
The event will be limited to approximately 22 drivers due to the
amount of sessions we need to run because we are aiming to run 4
different track layouts.
Priority will initially be given to those members that posted on
this event topic, with a “probability of attendance” in excess
of 50%. The priority will be in the calendar order of their
post.
Consequently, if you want to enter and have not posted a
probability of attendance, please do so.
Entry Forms are only to be submitted by the persons listed as
“APPROVED” in the heading post of the event topic on the Forum.
Event entry fees and details will be detailed on the entry form,
but will be about £40.
We will run three Groups (A, B and C). Groups A and B will be
those experienced drivers taking part in the timed
Endurance/Reliability Trial. Group C will be the new and less
experienced drivers, plus new cyclekarts, who will take part in
the "Test and Tune" sessions (again on up to four different
track layouts).
ENTRANTS:
Please can you give an early indication of entering by posting a
% probability of entry, which will allow the club to finalise
the entry fees.
Please can you also indicate if you can fill any of the event
support roles.

Thanks to everyone for posting their probability of attendance
to this event ;D
It now looks as though we have enough interest to be able to run
an endurance/reliability format for this event. However, this
does require experienced drivers due to the amount of overtaking
that may be involved. Therefore, we may have alternative
non-timed practice sessions for the less experienced drivers.
This is not an event to find the fastest cyclekart, it is an
event to find the most reliable and consistent cyclekart/driver
combination. Please see the attached endurance/reliability
document to the heading post of this topic, for more detail.
Please be aware that this is not your usual CKGB event, where

Hi Terry, I have enquired about you staying over in your
motorhome at Stretton. It is possible to stay over in your
motorhome, but there are certain restrictions:
Your only allowed to stay for one night, and that is the night
before the event.
There are no facilities.
The gate is controlled by the airfield and is locked from about
21:00 till about 08:00, so you wont be able to enter or exit
between those times.

The provisional Entry List is virtually full, consequently would
those that have not yet entered please update their probability
of attendance if they are unlikely to attend? This will free up
space for any others that might wish to enter.
LAST DATE FOR ENTRIES IS MIDNIGHT SATURDAY 22 MARCH

Hi Nick, many thanks for amending your probability of attendance
;D
Many of the events this year will have a maximum number of
entrants imposed on them. For the events that I am managing,
the priority of entry will be based on individuals posting their
probability of attendance, which also relies on them keeping
that updated.

Hi Michael, its a lot of extra admin for me, but yes I would
accept an entry today if submitted by 19:00. You will need to
be a member and will need a NORA Race Licence (£25), then need
to download and fill out all the various forms.
