       2025 EVENTS STATUS

       Based on experience gained in 2024 the Event Management
       Procedure is being comprehensively reviewed and amended.
       Consequently, for 2025 there will be a STATUS rating for each
       event.  This starts with PROVISIONAL, which indicates the event
       has been proposed.  If the Events Coordinator and the committee
       are satisfied with the viability of the proposal then it becomes
       ENDORSED.
       For 2024 the CKGB Events Coordinator carried out the majority of
       the event management.  With the revised procedure in place, more
       members will need to step forward to manage individual events
       and volunteer as officials, marshals, etc to enable the events
       to take place.  Once this occurs then the Events coordinator can
       revert to a role of coordinating rather than managing.  There
       will be a period of transition while members get used to the
       procedure, and the Events Coordinator will be on-hand to assist
       with any issues and provide a helping hand.  Additionally, there
       will be a new committee role of Deputy Events Coordinator, which
       will be filled by Tim Wheater.
       A separate Topic will be raised for each individual 2025 event.
       The heading post of each event topic will contain all the
       details for that event.  The event details will be updated as
       the planning of the event matures.
       Please could potential entrants post their likelihood of
       attendance to an event (this enables the financial viability to
       be assessed) and also whether they can fill any of the officials
       roles, or are willing to do some marshalling or timekeeping
       (this enables the degree of event support to be assessed).
