Twin Rear Discs

I see several people have mentioned using twin rear discs, I saw
a good motorcycle set up that was a decent price and was
interested to know how they have worked in practice and if there
are any major pitfalls.

I have twin disks as I have a differential axle set up, so need
a brake on each side of the diff.
Next build will be solid axle so will only need a single disk
as it brakes both wheels and is a lot simpler

Hi Tom, you don’t need twin discs especially if you have 1 wheel
drive. You can fit twin discs to a differential axle but you can
fit a single disc to the diff casing & have both wheels braking.
Cheers Nick

Thank you both. My first build looks like it’s going to be a
solid axle.
