Struggling to find a clone electric start engine apart from
Westbank Wholesale who have the Lifan

Any top tips for other suppliers?

Electric start does seem to narrow down the choice. However, I
see that the Westbank Wholesale engine is tuned too, which
offers significant advantages. Is it really true that this
Lifan engine is the same engine as sold as the States as the
       Predator?

The one in my Mini Bike is a login from Westbank, its great.
But when on a tight budget its a lot more expensive.
I have heard various Predator origin tales, its interesting how
Westbank no do a tuned Locin?
Its £300 electric start but only available in 20mm shaft

Just spoken to Westernk they can supply the engine with a 3/4"
crank but you have to fit it yourself, just waiting for a cost

Late to the party on this one as I have been traveling.
If you are after cheap and a little unknown, which has not been
a bad stratergy in cyclekart building in the past.
Maxpeedingrods on Ebay has both a recoil and electric start
engine for not a lot of coin and often (It had this morning) a
       discount code.
       The Recoil start engine here...
  HTML https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/356038238745
       Has in the photographs a
drawing of the shaft size at 19.05mm (3/4") However, the
       electric start one here...
  HTML https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/356038238095
       Does not have the shaft
size in the description so if you were interested, I would ask
the question of the vendor first to be safe.

Westbank never came back with a cost to convert the tuned one to
       a 3/4" shaft?

Try Ebay coupon code FROSTY8 at checkout, it might still work
for 8% discount if you are lucky
