       Torque converter belts.
       By: Moogie38 Date: April 28, 2024, 8:15 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I fitted a Hyundai engine and torque converter to my daughters
quad but it has chewed the belt (didn't get my gearing quite
       right).
I have been looking for a replacement belt but getting a bit
confused with all the different part numbers. The original belt
was a 669, but I have also found belts with 203589 and 994-70
part numbers. Has anyone had any experience with replacement
       belts ?
What is everyone using when their original belt is needing to be
       replaced ?

Noel, I have used Gemini for replacement belts. They have a huge
selection of sizes and types in stock. (asymmetrical ones also)

To add to the confusion Noel, I have some on order that seem to
       be marked 725
  HTML https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235472469218
And the two that are on my cycklekarts ar marked as below...
       Gemini has this information...
Comet 203589 DF Belt*** (Manco Pt No 5959) - *** – This belt is
for the Comet TAV2 Torque a verter and is also suitable for many
Manco Karts and other American made karts. It is equivalent to
the Manco Pt No 5959 and fits many Manco karts including Manco
       285, 286,485,486,906 and more.

I've had a couple of these that seem to last.

Thanks everyone for the replies, it seems to be a bit of a
minefield with belt numbers. I have read posts that say the
Comet belts are very good and last, also have come across the
725 size as well. Think I will message Gemini and see what they
       suggest.

Received the 725 belts yesterday and they seem a good match for
       the others I have.

I contacted Gemini Karts and this is their reply,
"If you have a 30 S CVT with a 6” Dia driven pulley and a
centre to centre of just shy of 7” then the belt you need is a
       203589 Belt."
Ordered one as suggested, will let you know how it fits when I
       receive it.
