1/2 JUNE - CKGB at the NATIONAL KIT CAR SHOW
       By: Ian F Date: February 6, 2024, 9:59 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
This first post of this topic will be updated as and when
information is received or becomes available. If you are
interested in entering, please add a post with the % probability
of entering and I will add your name to the list of entrants
below. This information will help the committee plan the
       required resources.
       DATE:
Arrival from 10:00 AM Friday 31 May. Show takes place 1/2 June.
       VENUE:
Kit Car show at the "Three Counties Showground" near Malvern.
       DESCRIPTION:
  HTML https://nationalkitcarshow.co.uk/
Large Kit Car show with various trade stands. CKGB will have a
static display in a marquee, plus its own grass display area for
       a variety of dynamic activities.
       CKGB LEAD:
       Ian Fletcher
       EVENT REGULATIONS:
Issued 3/5/24 (see attachment below). The CKGB activities will
       run under a NORA permit.
       COSTS:
Entry Form issued 3/5/24 (see attachment below).

There will be two aspects to the cost, one is the cost of entry
to the show (payable to the show) and the other is for the NORA
permit and driver fee (payable to CKGB).
Regards the show fees, admission per day for drivers with a
cyclekart is free, but passengers are £15 (£10 for an advance
ticket). Show fee for those camping the weekend (including show
entry on both days) is £15 (£10 in advance) for cyclekart
drivers and £30 (£20 in advance) for passengers. See show
website address above for pre-booking tickets.
CKGB fee is £10 per driver.
       OTHER COMMENTS:
Camping available on site. Three counties showground has a
dedicated campsite with facilities within the showground. If
you go on Google Maps it is shown.
There will now be a marquee in addition the main exhibition hall
for the show. The marquee is being managed by Complete Kit Car
magazine, and will feature a history of kit car building with
lots of classic kit cars. The magazine sees Cyclekarts as a
future trend in kit car building, so there will also be a CKGB
static display in the marquee as well. Therefore, this event
now becomes more interesting for those of you who have
part-built cyclekarts, and the public would love to see your
efforts. We will also be displaying the completed cyclekarts a
few at a time throughout the weekend.
Our dynamic display area has now been approved by the organiser
and the showground (see attachment). It will be an oval track
and there will be a mix of demonstration runs (up to 6
cyclekarts on the track) and racing (2 cyclekarts on track).
The racing will use a similar format to bicycle "pursuit racing"
where each cyclekart starts at opposite start/finish lines. The
winner is whoever manages to catch up with the other cyclekart,
or whoever reaches their finish line first on the last lap
(approx 5 to 10 laps). Full details will be issued in the event
       regulations.
In addition to the marquee, we also have our own club area on
plot G4 (see attached Malvern Club Plan) for a static display.
A decision will be made on the Friday, whether to use this as a
club trailer park, it all depends on how much room out track
       takes up.
“Knobbly” motor-cross type tyres will cut up the surface of the
CKGB track, consequently only “road-pattern” tyres are allowed
on the grass track. Knobblies are acceptable for the static
       displays.
UPDATE: It looks like we will be having approximately 20
cyclekarts at this event, so parking trailers may be an issue.
Consequently, we will have our own area in a compound next to
our display area. Therefore, once unloaded, please put your
       trailers in the compound.
There is an award for "Best Club Display", therefore please can
you dress in period attire (good practice for Brooklands) and
bring any period items with you to decorate your paddock space.
We will also line our cyclekarts up in the CKGB paddock, rather
than have them higgly-piggly. Could "Team Pastie" (SW Group)
also bring their splendid pyramid banner with them?

Hi all, heres a quick update on this event.
There will now be a marquee in addition the main exhibition hall
for the show. The marquee is being managed by Complete Kit Car
magazine, and will feature a history of kit car building with
lots of classic kit cars. The magazine sees Cyclekarts as a
future trend in kit car building, so they would also like to
have a CKGB display in the marquee as well. Therefore, this
event now becomes more interesting for those of you who have
part built cyclekarts. The public would love to see your
efforts, so if you would like to display your part-built
cyclekarts, please post on this topic with what you would like
to bring along and whether for the whole weekend or just one of
the days. The club can then collate its display. We will also
be displaying the completed cyclekarts a few at a time
       throughout the weekend.

When we submit results for the CK World Championship, we need to
