REMINDER
This is not a NORA event but the CKGB event officials still need
proof that each cyclekart has been checked and passed a safety
check. Consequently, please hand in your completed "CKGB Safety
Declaration" before driving your cyclekart. There is no formal
signing on, but we will be ticking off entrants on a register,
so please hand in the form when you are ticked off the register.
It is also recommended that you hand in a completed "In Case of
Emergency" (ICE) form.
Both these forms can be found as attachments to the heading post
of this topic.
We already have ICE forms for:
Ian Fletcher
Chris Loader
Stefan Nahajski
Andy Dunn
Ian Lang
Tim Holdsworth
Chris Slade
Bill Alexander

Hello lads sorry been a bit slow on catching up- busy week. I’ll
get a commentary sheet over asap.
I’ve finally managed to buy correct sized suspension units for
my trailer. Being fitted as I type. Beginning to think I might
actually make it this time.
I am secretly extremely excited.

There's no need to get in super early tomorrow. The gates open
to the public at 9:30 so we need to be in and unloaded with
trailers and cars in the car park before then. Exhibitors can
get in from 7am.
I've spoken with the museum site today and they want to delay
putting up the gazebo's because of the unsettled weather and
possible high winds. They've asked if we'll help put them up
which could be the morning or in the afternoon when the track
sessions finish. Judging of displays and cyclekarts will be on
Sunday so that stuff can stay in the dry tomorrow.
I'm told there's a cafe in Mercedes Benz World and it should be
open, so if it does rain, there should be tea available there.
The good news is that Sunday looks like it might be good drying
weather!!

I would like to thank those who organised this event. Saturday
was a bit wet but Sunday was Brilliant with the best turnout of
CKs Brooklands has ever seen. The crowd loved us. A good day was
had by all. Graham A .

Hear hear!
We had a smashing time… it was a definite hit with the crowd.
Lots of lovely karts in attendance, and a total spectrum of
responses to the question ‘how do I make a cyclekart?’… just
brilliant!
I also got to ‘blood’ my kart in battle for the first time.
Hooray!
I was feeling a bit smug that nothing had particularly gone
wrong till it manifested an enormous oil leak during the hill
climb; I haven’t had a chance to pull it apart yet to find out
where it sprang from. Whole thing was empty by the time we got
home though- was all over the trailer. Really enjoyed it though.
I was so excited I completely forgot to activate my excessively
engineered dash timer till the second time up the hill- did it
in 17 seconds dead. Is that good? Bad? I have no idea. But it is
a memory I shall treasure. :c)
yeah, all in it was a cracking day. Also it turns out our wee
man finds the sounds of motorsport distinctly soothing….
Cheers!
Rich
