       Chronology of British Cyclekarts
       By: Jimr1999 Date: December 16, 2023, 2:54 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Update to current chronology: I am continuing this thread now
with when the cyclekarts were awarded the chassis plate - and
       therefore keeping the numbers consecutive
Chassis plates are awarded upon first successful run bodied at a
CKGB event to full members, members receive their plate upon
application free of charge for the first cyclekart they build.
Subsequent builds members complete can have a plate for the
price of £10. The form can be found here...

For reasons that will become apparent at a later date, I am
trying to establish when members cyclekarts were produced in
chronological order. For the sake of this exercise we will
presume that a cyclekart comes into existence the first time it
ran successfully with a body on. Any help much appreciated.
Looking at the register, we have 24 functional karts.
       JimR
I will start with my own, BSA three wheeler August 2022
If you have a functioning cyclekart with a body please add yours
       in the comments below

Mine was May 2020 going round the Garden. Should have been
Whilton but COVID put a delay on that.

       From my early records,
1st Wes Raynor Talbot Darracq 2013?
about the same time Bill Alexander Maserati
       Geoff May Wolseley Maybug
       Rhys Nolan GN Kim 2017
       Graham Hill MG
Others can take over from here.
Many of the early cars have disappeared or been removed from the
register, even if they were recorded as the register came into
being some time after things had started.
There were also some cars created by Cyclekarts UK a somewhat
commercial arrangement, most went to France. They ceased trading
for various reasons, as have almost all other commercial efforts
       with cyclekarts

I bought it of Wes and refurbished/rebuilt it with a much
stronger shell. Lots f triaxial glass, epoxy, remade rear axle
       decent brake....
I then sold it to a guy in Wales /something to do with Doc
Martin filming. As usual, the agreement "if you ever want to
sell it let me know" wasn't complied with. Last time I knew it
was in an auction as a "child's car", it didn't sell. Like Kim,
       lost.
TBH as it was built it was "less than satisfactory". The first
time I stepped in the floor fell out. Looked great though!
