Dexion

I'm trolling around for ideas to make a chassis as simple as
possible without welding or bending. I've used Dexion in the
past for shelving & such. Did a search this morning & found a
supplier that also does a connecting system.
Any useful comments or hints would be gratefully received. The
supplier was

Welcome to CKGB Stearman :-)
Anything that will bear the load for a chassis, many people go
without welding. Timber, composite, aluminium have all been done
with varying degrees of success . Check out this Canadian?

Also go through the build journals here and on the American

If you already have an inspiration CK in mind, this helps

Thanks for the reply JimR.
I've only had this in mind for a week, but I've looked at loads
of info from various sources mainly YouTube which incindentally
I have my own channel
HTML https://www.youtube.com/@stearman65/videos
There's nothing on my
channel about CK's yet but I'm sure that will come. Your post
has given me a couple of links I didn't know about so I will
investigate those. As for genre of CK I built a Marlin Roadster
& a Morgan 3 wheeler replica back in the early 80's & I'm
leaning towards the Morgan but electric powered, rear wheel
drive. This would cut down costs (only 3 wheels) & only 2 wire
wheels possibly. I used the rear wheel off the donor bike (Honda
CX500 motor bike) on my Morgan as it was shaft drive all in one
piece with the engine. I don't know of any motorbikes with a
similar configuration that fall within the CK engine size rules.
It's so long ago but I think my Morgan had an extended drive
shaft?
Thanks again.
