       If the supplier has the same Cscontroller v8.2 as the
       customer’sCs system orhas a direct translator, then the native
       Cs data can be imported. In some cases, the design feature
       information also is imported directlyinto theCscontroller v8.2 .
       But in the general case, the Cscontroller must be able to create
       the feature information evenif the data originates with neutral
       data such asSTEP or IGES, without having intimate knowledge of
       the original design. In such a feature recognition process, the
       Cscontrollerv8.2 is able to recapture the feature information
       that was in the original design, or create it for the first
       time.
