Minecraft update 1.5

Hey guys, I made this topic because I got a problem...
I updated my minecraft to 1.5 by accident, and tried to get it
downgraded (cuz the server is running 1.4.7), but my minecraft
keeps crashing after doing that.
Does anybody know how to get a downgrade, without crashing it
again? Please let me know.

Watch this video. This is a video trash made on how to change
version of Minecraft very easily. I suggest having this because
there is no set date on when the server will update. It all
depends on when the plugins update and such.

Well first I think the host has to update as also bukkit. It
wont take long probally. And yes BDasher the exact same thing
happened to me.
Unfortanly B_Dasher you minecraft wont work even if you use the
MCVC. If it happened like me:
-First go to your saves, screenshots, texture packs and other
important information in .minecraft.
-Copy it all and paste it in another folder in you deskopt (or
somewhere else that is no .minecraft).
-Delete .minecraft and minecraft.
- Download it again. No need buying it just download it again in
minecraft.net.
- When you run it, it should work. MCVC doesnt damage anything
in minecraft and takes seconds to update or downgrade.

Thanks for the help guys!
Haven't tried to downgrade yet, but what you're doing in that
video looks much easier.

A lot of servers have been updating throughout the course of the
weekend, so should I expect for it to update by next week?
(next week will be my last week on for a while due to spring
break).
