Why was Colin taken when he was a baby?

I want to know why crazy Cameron took Colin from his family when
he was a baby. I think it’s wrong that happened to Colin. Colin
never got to know his brothers Kieran and Evan and their sister
Ava. It’s not fair that Colin was held hostage by a crazy piece
of crap.
