A chuckle? Did he say something funny? Whatever the case, Rizio
thought it would be interesting to hear a little more about how
this man had come to claim so many lives. Given the name he was
using, he was pretty sure the explanation would somehow involve
doomsday devices and exploding planets.
"It's been a while since I've had anything decent to eat. Though
I'm not much on these jungle areas. I prefer living in the "dead
zones"... More vision. Less ways for things like that," he said
gesturing toward Ketrrov, "to sneak up on you."
He walked over to Ketrrov's body and kicked it a few times just
to be sure he was dead. It felt strange having so many eyes on
him when he knew within himself that there were technically only
really two people there. Especially those chilling purples eyes,
it felt like she was staring into the very depths of his soul.
Who knew, maybe she was.
"How do you feel about roasted Vlisoconian. I heard that despite
their tough exterior and frightening appearance, the meat is
actually really tender and tasty."
That being said, Rizio raised his sword high over his head,
hacking off Ketrrov's leg and tail.

Raizel admired the mans caution. He must have been a
rather effective mercenary if he thought about things like that
constantly. Not to mention his willingness to eat that...
disgusting creature. Raizel couldn't help but appreciate the
fact that his race didn't need to eat so often.
"I won't judge you for eating it, but I don't require much food.
I'll stick to tea."
Raizel started walking, assuming that Scorpion would follow. His
home wasn't far off, and he'd just started a fire before he'd
left to deal with the attacker. Luckily the place hadn't burned
down. The small cabin was old, about a century old. It was the
first thing Raizel had built when he got here. He opened the
door, the inside was lit by a firepit in the center of the
house, and the only furniture was two chairs that were on
opposite sides of the fire. One was worn and used, the other
only ever touched by the memory of someone who died long ago.
There was already a teapot prepared, just enough for two people.
Raizel poured it into the only two cups he owned, and set one
next to the rarely used chair and took the other to his own. He
waited to see if Scorpion followed before talking.
"So why are you here? What did you do to get you sent
here?"

It was amazing to see that the mass collection of souls went
even further beyond the clearing. In fact, he could pretty much
see more souls than trees in this part of the jungle, they even
stood in the middle of the path way, slowly parting as Raziel
lead him toward his cabin. It was truly an eerie feeling; as
though they would just reach out at any time and drag them off.
When they reached the cabin, Rizio stopped to examine it from
the outside. Ignoring the number of souls standing on the roof,
he checked for any signs of an ambush or trip wire, which; to
tell the truth; was like looking for a needle in a hay stack. He
never had a problem separating the living from the dead, but he
had also never encountered this many dead people in one place,
the poor lighting in the jungle didn't help at all.
"Well you see..."
He sliced the tail into slabs of meat about two inches thick,
impaled four slabs on his sword and stepped inside, placing the
blade in such a way that the meat hung over the fire.
"And nice place you've got here."
Having been on the road so much hunting down criminals, he'd
learned to survive on just essentials, even more so since
winding up on Granabald.
"There had been a serial killer on the loose, one who loved
killing so much that the number of victims was nearing the
millions. I had been hot on her tail for years and I eventually
found her in her home, pretending to be a loving wife and
mother."
Rizio took a sip from the cup and turned the meat over the fire.
"I spoke to each and every one of the spirits that lingered
around her house, some eight hundred and seventy six thousand,
just to be sure. Each spirit had their own horrific tale of how
she had tortured them very slowly before killing them in some
pretty gruesome ways. You might ask why I was so cautious that I
needed to question every single one, well this woman was the
wife of the Commissioner of the Inter-Galactic Police and her
brother was the High Councilor of the planet Zarnka who also had
influence in the Inter-Galactic Senate. Apparently, the husband
had known all along that his wife was the killer, but couldn't
lift a finger against her, he loved her to much to sentence her
to life on this nightmare planet. When I confronted them, she
laughed and said..."
He paused and sipped again.
"So what of it? Their screams, their groans, the sound of them
pleading for their very life, those that just begged her to end
it, it turned her on more than her husband ever could. And that
I had saved her the trouble of coming to look for me because she
had always wondered what the screams of the infamous Scorpion
would sound like. A fight broke out and I will admit, it was
tough dealing with her and her husband together; but I
eventually managed to kill her and critically injure him, not
knowing that he and her brother had already destroyed all
evidence which indicated his wife and falsified documents making
me out to be the killer, with his wife as a victim who escaped
my grasp, therefore; it looked like I had come back to kill the
only witness. Those documents were released to the
Inter-Galactic Police a few weeks later, and that's how I ended
up here."
Rizio pulled one of the slabs off meat off his sword and bit it,
his teeth sank right in and his taste buds were instantly
treated to a parade of flavour.
"This really is good! I plan to find a way off this planet and
kill them both in the same manor that she killed those poor
souls."

Raizel listened intensely as the man explained his
story. It was interesting, to say the least. It was rare to find
such interesting people in this world. He found himself
unconvinced that the man hadn't actually committed the crime,
though.
"A lot of people who are asked that question on this world give
a story like that. Saying they were framed and that the world is
against them. They're always so predictable. I always found that
the scariest types of them all..."
Raizel paused and took a thoughtful sip from his tea.
"Were the ones that told the truth about their sins. They were
honest right away. Left no secrets about who they were and no
fear of who you are."
Raizel laughed, his mind was not what it used to be. He was
still sharp and articulate, that much was obvious, but he lacked
proper mannerisms. He wasn't sure how to treat a house guest.
It'd been forever since he'd had one...
"I killed an entire planet. If you can see spirits, I almost
expect that you've already noticed. Yet you still doubt my
identity. Is it because you don't know about my race? Angels are
'blessed' with longevity, my friend. I'm considered to be barely
a teenager for my race... or what used to be my race. It's my
fault they're dead. In a way, I killed them all."
The spirits would get angry at his admission of guilt. They
would holler and roar at them.
"Would you let me make sure you told me the truth? Can I see
your sins?"

"Angels and Longevity? Even if I was completely sold on you
story, I doubt there are many people today who know anything
about your race considering your planet was completely destroyed
over a century ago."
He sipped the tea again, tearing another morsel off his sword.
"What I have told you is the truth... I've seen stuff, and been
on the trail of some murderous creatures. After a while, things
like that... They change you... I stopped wanting to bring them
to justice hence why I became a bounty hunter and not a member
of the police force. Dead or alive, you get paid. Most of my
bounties were brought in dead. So in my own right, I too was a
serial killer, I just made the universe a better place by
ridding it of low life scum one at a time."
He pushed the meat into his mouth and chewed it slowly,
savouring the taste.
"If you can guarantee that I won't end up like this guy-"
He gestured toward his mouth.
"Then you can take a look. I have nothing to hide. But before
that, "In a way, it's my fault they're dead..." That's so vague,
did you or did you not kill them?"

Raizel chose to ignore the merc's doubts about his
identity, it really didn't matter at all whether the man
believed him or not. He rose slowly, reaching over the fire he
gave a wave and the room rumbled. It took a moment, but all of
the sudden a loud shriek was heard and a woman barged into the
house with a knife. The same serial killer that had gotten
Scorpion sent here, alive and well, was standing in front of
them despite being long dead.
"Interesting. So it was the truth... Unfortunately, murder is a
Sin no matter what. Though I don't judge... so, to answer your
question..."
The lady charged towards Scorpion and lunged, but Raizel waved
his hand and she vanished long before she could do any real
damage.
"Yes. I killed them... but you didn't do anything wrong, so the
fact that your here is... strange. Have you been trying to get
off of this wretched planet?"
Raizel stood straight, turning his back on the merc.
"That's a wise goal. If I can assist, I'd love to. I was a
scientist in my youth, and my people had a knack for space
travel. We were far more advanced than any other race
was."

Knowing full well that she was dead did nothing to quell Rizio's
anger. Seeing her standing there, shrieking as she waved her
knife around made his blood boil. Maybe slapping her around some
more would have helped him to calm down but she vanished just as
quickly as she appeared, not giving him the chance to put her
down for the second time. He turned his attention back to
Raziel.
"From what I was able to gather, there are quite a few security
measures put in place to keep us on this planet. The main
problem is the giant fortress they have orbiting this place.
It's loaded with sensory equipment and gravitational scramblers,
not to mention heavily armed. There are thousands upon thousands
of officers stationed on it. I've been on board a few times when
delivering the few bounties I left alive so I know the general
layout. Now, there are two possible ways to attempt this.
Firstly we could try to hack into their system from here and
shut down the gravitational scrambler from here, though we'd
need a to assemble a pretty fast ship, their cruisers are pretty
fast, out running them is going to take a lot of speed. OOOR...
we find a way on board their ship and shut it down directly from
the control room.
Pros and cons. The first method is probably the safest way but
the main computer is designed to detect and fight off all
external threats so if you do manage to hack it, you've got
about thirty seconds to shut it down before it boots you out and
overloads your own system with specially designed viruses and I
don't mean just the computer, the entire ship gets messed up,
it'll be next to impossible to start, but then again you are an
advanced scientist so these viruses might be primitive to you.
And I don't think I need to go into the pros and cons of the
second method. I've started to gather the parts we would need
from other ship wrecks and what not, but some of the more
advanced parts are harder to get. Either the vendors are
charging way too much for them and you can't just kill them for
it cause they have them hidden, or fight for them. But maybe you
can make them yourself if I take you to some of the wrecks I
found, so what do you think?"

The Alpha Omega slowed it's approach as it got closer to the
clearing in the jungle. Once it reached it's destination it
hovered over the area, and slowly made a vertical touch down.
Since it was so loud, since it being a space ship and all,
Severin was expecting to find some creatures of undesirables
coming to investigate. He was sure that many people would hurl
themselves at the first chance they got to get off this island,
and his entrance got the attention of everyone in the vicinity.
He knew he didn't have much time, but he just hopped his crimson
stalker friend would get here before them. There was also the
matter of finding Scorpion. Oh well, it might prove for some
fun.
"So Andrea, I'm not sure if you want to stay on the ship or not,
but I did manage to get a way to track down Scorpion. We just
have to wait until he gets here, and find some kind of trail for
him to follow. Apparently. We'll get more details once he
arrives."
Severin got up from his captain's chair and made his way for the
exit, the sound of it opening could already be heard. As he
walked down the ramp, two of his armed Jack Bots followed him
from the workshop and waited with him at the base of the ramp.
"Now I guess all there is to do is wait... But that's too
boring."
The cyber ninja laughed aloud and began to walk around,
inspecting the environment, soon finding traces of a what seemed
like a battle.

Andrea stood up and followed the cyber ninja, she observed him
as they walked trough the door, he seem so relax one could
almost consider him mentally unstable. Going out in to the most
dangerous planet on the galaxy should make one nervous about
his own safety but this was not the case of the ninja. She step
out of the ship and took a deep breath, the atmosphere was humid
this allowed her to adquire the water she so desperatly need.
Her steps where slowed but constant following the ninja close
enough to hear his steps on the planet surface. Her full body
was covered with her brown cloak, under the clock she carried a
small back with a number of gagets to assure her success in her
mission.

There was a quick rumble in the brush followed by an ear
shattering shriek as one of the terrifying beasts of the planet
came thundering through the canopy, shaking the ground as it
landed. The apex predator of this territory, they'd come to be
called simply Shadow Eaters. So it goes, once you step foot
within the jungle, one follows you as closely as a shadow.
Should you be unfortunate enough to remain in the jungle once it
becomes hungry, your "shadow" would devour you.
HTML http://torwars.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/star-wars-the-old-republic-vinecat-02-torwars.jpg
The creature shuddered and roared. It was covered in scars from
previous hunts. Still it sported a series of fresh wounds.
Bleeding profusely, it was obvious the great beast had become
shadow to the wrong prey. It stumbled, trying to remain on its
feet, refusing the inevitable. Yet it was too late. Death had
already began to take hold as the stone blue eyes began to gloss
over. Though cunning for a beast, it was still just a beast.
Instinct had taken over. The apex predator was not used to being
hunted. Rising back to its feet, it turned to face the brush
again and charged forward. Almost instantaneously, there was a
flash of red light casting the shadow of the hunter and an even
more ferocious beast within the jungle. This unidentified,
winged monster seemed to have spikes or some sort of sharp
protrusions from its body. The shrill shriek of the Shadow Eater
was drowned out entirely by the earth shaking roar and the great
hunter was flung back into the clearing with a dense thud, now
dead.
You should be more careful.
Bartholomew exited from where the creature was tossed, obviously
reverting from an even greater form, he was now in his werewolf
state, still returning to his human-like facade. His face was
the first to return to a normal state while his claws and fur
retracted. Verina followed behind him, looking somewhat shaken
up. The shape shifter shook his hands, flinging the creature's
blood across the ground.
The prisoners aren't the biggest threat on
this planet. What took you so long?
There was a sly grin from the man while Verina only stared at
him in horror. The only thing that escaped her lips being a
hushed whisper.
I've never seen that form before...
