HAMBURGER CHOW MEIN
1 lb. hamburger (can use turkey burger)
1/2 C. onion
1/4 C. celery
1 small can of mushrooms
1 can cream of chicken soup
1-1/2 can water
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 can bean sprouts, or stir fry vegetables
1 small can water chestnuts (optional--I love the crunch!)
Brown hamburger, onion and celery. Mix the cream of chicken
soup, water and soy sauce and add to hamburger mix Add rice,
bean sprouts or
stir fry veggies and water chestnuts and mix well.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees covered, and then 30 minutes
uncovered.
You may put some of the dried chow mein noodles in your dish
then top them with the chow mein , more noodles on top.
This makes a lot, but it freezes well.

I forgot to say -- this is not at all spicy, and I like a little
heat. I used a little Siracha but next time I'll probably add
a few red pepper flakes. But, this should be fine for MM
without the added heat.
