       Pat's One Pot Pasta Plus

       I went totally off the ranch on this recipe, but it turned out
       quite tasty!
       Pat's One Pot Pasta Plus
       1# ground beef
       1 medium onion diced
       Seasoned salt
       2-3 smashed and diced (a bit) garlic cloves
       1 16-oz diced tomatoes
       1 8-oz tomato sauce
       1-2 Tbsp sugar (I did use brown, and didn't measure)
       Herbs&Spices: basil, cumin, chili pwd -play spice rack
       roulette!)
       1.5 cups water
       1 cup macaroni or similar pasta
       3-4 oz cream cheese
       Couple handfuls spinach
       Brown meat, drain. Add onion and salt. Taste. Add tomatoes,
       sugar, water and spices to taste. Simmer 15 mins. Taste, adjust
       seasonings if needed.
       Add macaroni, stir well. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Taste.
       Add cream cheese and spinach. Cover to wilt spinach for 3-4
       minutes. Allow to set for 5 minutes, covered.
       If I didn't have spinach, I would have added shredded carrots.
       Sandy says both and I agree! A one pot meal!
       I think this would double easily!

       I need to try this.  I am supposed to stay away from spinach but
       I don't think this little bit will break me!

       I need to give this a try once I get home. It will be nice to
       serve when I have some company.
