No. It is not part of our protocol. Utica fd does not carry
them. Although I believe it is still taught as part of the state
curriculum.

MAST are still part of NYS BLS protocal however it is at agency
discretion wether or not to carry them on rigs. my agency
currently does not carry them

If you do not carry MAST pants how would you stabilize a pelvis
fracture?

numerous agencies in the region still utilze mast pants as they
are still part of bls protocol,however ufd no longer carries the
mast pants on our apparatus.

i would stabilize the pt on lsb with blankets and pillows
utililizing the pelvic wrap and provide O2 via nrb and transport
immediately

It is up to the agency if they are to be used. UFD does not
carry anymore. Still taught in state protacal. If a call for
pelvic fracture could use blankets/or long board with padding.

I belong to agencies that use them as well as an agency that
doesn't. They are still in the protocols, though, but with room
for regional adaptations.

In the Clark Mills Fire Department we do not use MAST pants.
Supporting the pelvic area with blankets on a long board is what
I would do.
