Cyclone, it's essentially when you believe that falling in love
with a person happens no matter their gender. Why should I care
what's in the pants if I really, truly love them as a person?
That's pansexuality. I also don't call my S/Os anything other
than that. A significant other. Because girlfriend/boyfriend is
over-glorifying their gender, when in reality, I don't give a
**** what gender they are. My current S/O happens to be male,
and I love him more than anything else in this world. End of
story.
Personally, I believe that being gay and pansexual isn't natural
and isn't very good either, but I also don't believe that people
should be persecuted over it! It's not nice! I mean, people get
all like, "You're gay. You're going to Hell." I mean, that just
being cruel. Except it and go on. I don't understand how anyone
could like someone of their own sex so much that they would want
to spend the rest of their life with them, but if they do, it's
not other people's place to tell them that they are a disgrace
and not socialize with them. Get a life, people! Being gay is
not the worst thing in the world! I mean, people get all worked
up about people being gay, but what about murderers, rapists,
drug-dealers? They, in my opinion, are far, far worse than gay
people. I'm not saying that I think that it's perfectly fine to
be gay, in fact, I severely disprove of it, but I don't go
around telling people that and preaching at them.
This is sorta like me. I don't approve of homo-sexuality, but
it's not my place to tell some-one who to and who not to fall in
love with. Then there's that problem with people talking crap
about homo-sexuals, and it's ridiculous really. They can choose
what they want to be, and there's no place for you to interfere.
We're all people after all.

I wish the world was more like this. We have no rights to judge
or condemn. But we do so anyways. While I don't like I don't
care. I don't approve nor go against it. It doesn't matter life
belongs to those that go after it. And they are so good for
them. I am just glad to find some people that are just as
intolerant here. Can't stand the b**** and moaning of the media
and people about this Like they don't commit sins.

You ought to be more careful. Whenever you disapprove of
something, as you did with atheism, you need to double check
yourself to make sure you do not offend anyone. You become
overly critical and, even though this time you said you don't
have the right to judge, you still said it made no sense. You're
last sentence was a bit funny because you are telling and
preaching it. Cyclone stated that what you said about atheism
was mean. It's the same with this.

Agreed. It's like when you state what skin colour a specific
person is - you and your friends may not think it's offensive,
but others might.

Hunsinger: Fact of the matter is, you are obviously trying not
to be judgmental although you are, deep down. I thank you so so
much for this. That said, the line in bold is what got me. As a
heterosexual person (I am assuming), you're not supposed to
understand. Just like Nick doesn't understand how you can like
someone of the opposite sex and live your life with them. It's
all completely biological. People are born gay and can't help
it, homosexuality is just natural to them. I was born bisexual,
but I decided that gender is just a tiny, tiny, thing compared
to love, so I don't pay attention to it (which makes me
pansexual, a form of bisexuality). Like I stated before, I have
an S/O who I LOVE and can't help it. Here is my gay friend who
is really awesome, and yes I've noted he's pretty attractive, as
far as males go, but that doesn't matter. He asks me out, and if
he doesn't know my sexuality, then he's taking a risk and that
shows dedication. And if he'll care about me, and I care about
him (Which I did and do) then it's totally and completely worth
it. But... let's take this to the debate thread I opened up!

Hmph. The rules you set, regarding the requirement to watch the
videos was a rather bad idea. Limiting discussion, that is. And
then everyone has to sit through half an hour of people spouting
words.

Cyclone, in a debate it is absolutely essential to have a
prompt. A prompt is NOT 'Homosexuality.' A prompt is a video,
and you say Okay, who is right, who is wrong? Or a situation,
and you ask who is right, who is wrong? I always like there
being multiple sides because it reminds me that there is no
right and wrong. Only a struggle for one side to prove
superiority. For your comment, Cyclone, I will say you have to
watch one, and the others are optional resource videos. But
often, debates take LOTS of research. I went into a debate on
human nature once, and spent time watching 3 45-minute TED
speeches, reading and fully annotating 4 articles, looking up
scientific webpages on sadism and other stuff of the sort,
taking 19 pages worth of notes, and then I spent an hour
organizing those notes into an argument for debate. Debates take
research, Cyclone. I understand people's internet might be
sucky, which is why I will appease you and make one mandatory,
the others optional.
